Memory Lane, Weekly Musings, Etc.

I've had a week of dealing with the past. Last week I found my ex boyfriend on My Space. This is the boy I left for Eno when I was 17 who up until Eno I though I was going to marry and have his babies. Well, he's living in Dallas still, is married, and has a baby. He wound up being a web designer (which is funny because so is Eno), and he and his wife apparently spend all their time playing World of Warcraft. So in some ways the road not traveled looks somewhat like the one I took, but oh so different at the same time. I regret none of the things which brought me here, but it's an interesting exercise to be able to see the point on the opposite path.

I also had a friend of a friend ask me about working at Enterprise, because they were thinking about it. It led me to really thinking about what I learned there, and what I missed as well as what I do a little jig for every day that I never have to deal with again. I found a website where old workers can talk about how it was for them, and I found my arch nemesis is still there and doing fine. Weird stuff.

Lots of musings on kaboodle for the past two weeks since I forgot to post, so go here and here to see what's up.

A hint: This is REALLY weird.

My Horoscope for the week:

Sagittarius:
"The thing that makes you exceptional is inevitably that which must also make you lonely," said playwright Lorraine Hansberry. I agree. That's why my exuberant advice for you this week is also cautionary. According to my reading of the omens, in 2007 you will have unprecedented opportunities to cultivate and express the special talents that make you so unique. To get to the root of them, though, you'll have to be willing to get less of the approval and appreciation you'd ideally like to have. You may not have to be relentlessly solitary, but you will have to be vigorously independent.

I feel this can only be true as I make my move.
