(I am no way affiliated and just wanted to pass on the info. Yay to the people doing it.)
Recycle your old theme camp!
GOT WOOD?
Tired of dragging all that good lumber to burn platforms, because you don't have a use for it and can't take it home? Now you don't have to! Burners Without Borders, based at Camp Katrina, is working to keep usable lumber out of the fire and put it to more beneficial use. Here's how it works: All day Sunday and Monday, drop off good clean lumber ( 2x4s, plywood, etc ) at drop stations marked by signs adjacent to community burn platforms throughout the city, or at Camp Katrina at 3:00 and Esplanade. We ( and you--we'd love and will need help!! ) will then grade, clean, sort and bundle it, and deliver it to Habitat for Humanity, who will use it to build homes for fourteen needy, low income families in Reno. Recycling: it's the cleaner, easier way to get rid of your theme camp!
