Winter Solstice
I want to host a dinner for the winter solstice. Perhaps have a small gift exchange. But mostly, I want to cook a meal for me and my friends who are like minded about the upcoming holiday season. I don't care the religion, I just want to do this.
I am thinking a ham with an assortment of sides and a couple of pies. Perhaps I will have the beverages and pies be brought by the friends.
Then again, I have a lot of friends who enjoy cooking/baking. Perhaps making the meal a pot luck with a list of the foods needed for the meal. I will host the location and provide munchies for before and after.
I don't know. I just know I want to do something.
Solstice is on the 21st of December, so perhaps having the dinner on the 18th would be best? That is the closest Saturday and not during Christmas weekend.
