This one is about Life

Not enough people think for themselves or stop what they are doing and say HEY!, what the hell am I doing here? Because of this many people are sad and lead boring dull lives. Whilst trying to explain this to a friend recently I remembered something that effected my life a while ago and made me glad. Around 4 years ago I would drive to see Claire in High Wycombe and every now and then stay over there. In the mornings I would take the M40 back and between Junctions 2 and 1 there was the most amazing thing I have ever seen in this country. A wall beneath some tall trees. About a meter and a bit high with the words
"Why do I do this every day?".
It really hit me. First the simplicity of the question and the placing of it. Each morning thousands of people will drive past it and maybe a few of them will take the time to read it and think "Wow.. What am I doing with my life?". Then the idea that there are still people in this country trying to make the world a better place hit me. We are not alone, there are thinkers out there. How many peoples lives have been effected by that wall? That single phrase that hits home with so many people. It is pure genius that someone had the idea and then the effort to put that up somewhere that would reach so many others. If I have made one persons life better then I feel like I have done some good for the world. If I had painted that up there I would be so proud. Saturday morning I drove to take a picture of it as the previous nights conversation was echoing around in my head and I had to do something with it. When I got there I found it had been changed to read
"Why do I still do this every day?"
I searched it this morning on the net to try and find out who did it. No such information. But what I did find was several sites speaking of it. It worked, people did see it and it has changed many lives. I have nothing but total respect for the person(s) who did this and I would like to thank them. The only way I can see fit is to spread this message to as many people as possible and get people to ask themselves the question -
Why do I do this every day?
