What a day....

So, reluctantly, I woke up at about 7:45 this morning and packed all my stuff to come home til Tuesday night. Although I was tired, the drive seemed to go faster than usual, and I made it back in less than 3 1/2 hours. I went straight to work and did what I needed to do in a couple hours, and also had to use the helium tank to blow up balloons for my sisters birthday party. When I got home, my mom had to run a few last minute errands, and since everyone was hungry, I volunteered to switch cars with my mom and take all the kids to get some food. So I'm driving my moms Caravan with my two little sisters, and one of my sister's friends, and we brought maggie (my dog) along for the ride too. Not 3 minutes away from my house, I freakin got into an accident. My first ever major accident..scared is not even the word. I was trembling, and I'm sooo proud of myself for not crying. I think I was too scared to cry. So this is what happened (its kind of confusing, so bare with me) I'm gonna use the street names for those who know what I'm talking about. I was going west on Coconut Creek parkway in the far left lane, and someone was turning left out of the publix plaza, and usually when you turn you have to wait until you can go all the way across, or else you can pull your car in between the two yellow lines (the turning lane) well, this lady decided she was gonna pull out and stop, with the whole ass end of her car still in my lane. Before I knew it, I was halfway down the street and her bumper was about 5 feet behind me. It wasn't that bad of an impact, but it was still scary as hell. I made a u-turn and pulled to the side of the road and out of panic called my mom right away, and she was there in like 30 seconds, lol. The cops were there in like 3 minutes, which surprised me. Before the cop even took either of our stories, the old lady who was driving the other car came up to me pointing her finger in my face saying, "why were you talking on your cell phone?" Ummmm...definately was NOT on my phone. Before I could even defend myself my mom started yelling at the lady telling her to go back to her car and mind her own business, yeah, thats my mommy for ya, lol. So, to make a long story short, the other lady ended up getting charged for it, which was a relief to me. I knew it wasn't my fault, there was nothing I could have done to avoid the accident, but I was still nervous that I would be at fault for it. Come to find out the lady was 89 years old, and she was afraid that we were going to sue her which would cause her license to get revoked. I kind of felt bad for her. So anyways, we were only there for like an hour, which was faster than I expected. I fucked up the whole front driver side of my moms van. I would post pictures of the damage done to the van, but..I don't know how to put pictures on here. So, I guess if you're really interested in seeing it, I can email them. My stepdad is really upset with me. Not only is it going to cost a lot for the damages done, but our insurance is going to go up as well. SOo..yeah, thats how my day went. Not too good. But, at least everyone is allright. The rest of my night was spent entertaining 11 year olds for my sisters birthday party. Fun fun. I got knocked in the head with a spongebob pinata after my stepdad whacked the shit out of it so all the candy would come out. I think maybe he was aiming at me..lol. Now I'm being called to make popcorn for them..the joys of being an older sister. Hopefully the rest of my weekend won't be as bad as it started out to be. Until next time...
