Plot Bunny and Illustration! (Warning: Waycest)

So I made a prompt at bandom_meme over at Dreamwidth - Victorian!AU - To keep their relationship secret, Gerard crossdresses and becomes his brother's wife, Geraldine (if you can think of a better name please use it) whenever they're in public. I decided to fill it myself because I thought about it a lot, and also I felt like drawing.

Note: This picture is not sexually explicit, in fact, there are almost no sexual tones to it, apart from that Gerard is crossdressing.

But! The picture has a little plot bunny to go with it, because otherwise it wouldn't make much sense.

Not that the plot bunny makes any sense.

Okay. So, it would be a story set in like 1980-90 whenever Frank was in high school. I can't remember right now. So Frank's in high school, and he's learning, in his history class, all about the trends of incest throughout the `pages of history, or whatever. Everyone's like *snicker* gross, including Frank - until they learn about the Way Brothers, two incestuous siblings who lived in the 19th century. Obviously I'm gonna have to research this time period 'cause I don't know shit about it. So anyway, the brothers are assumed by historians to be all corrupted and evil, and maybe in the 19th century they were thought to be, like, witches or something. BUT! Throughout Mr. Leonard's (the history teacher's) dry and condemning explanation of the lives of the brothers, we get little flashbacks and see how it was really like - how much the Ways loved each other and how they weren't corrupted at all, they were just two scared barely-adults trying to live in a world that thought they were wrong. So, you know. Obviously I can't write this already because it's meant to be kind of sad, and I'll just, like, make penis jokes.

SO ANYWAY, it turns out that why this particular case of incest is taught in schools is because it's actually kinda interesting (Frank thinks so, anyway). The older Way apparently attempted to crossdress as a woman so he could pretend to be the younger brother's, like, LADY HE WAS COURTING, I don't know. And things were dandy for a while, but then! Someone finds out about their secret relationship! And the whole town is like INCEST? THEY MUST BE WITCHES! and so what happens is the two brothers are like dragged out of their house into the street, and like publicly humiliated and stuff, and then it's arranged for them to both be burned at the stake (I don't think this was actually still happening in the 19th century, but let's just pretend it is) but one of them escapes and like, is exiled into the wilderness (of New Jersey, hah) but the other one still dies :( And then I want to have some ghost/Frank interaction, like, Frank gets obsessed with these brothers, right, and he starts searching the Internet and old library books and asking his teacher more about them (his teacher thinks this is really fucking strange) until eventually he is totally fucking knowledgeable on the subject, and completely is invested in these brothers and he FEELS for them, you guys :( So then something happens and maybe the brother who was exiled is still a ghost because he's apart from his brother? Or something. And then Frank has to reunite them by maybe finding old graves and things and communicating with both ghosts (it'd actually be cool if both ghosts were on a different plane, so they couldn't see each other) and eventually they are reunited! And it's a somewhat happy ending, even if Frank feels a bit lonely without his incestuous brothers to keep him company.

Yeah. Anyway,

So this is meant to look like an old photograph. Erm, It would be Mikey and Gerard Way, with Gerard crossdressing as Mikey's wife. Maybe they create this whole facade, maybe no one even knows Gerard exists. That'd be interesting. Or, actually, it could just be Mikey and his brother who likes to crossdress. Interpret at will.

I was going to draw it digitally, but it was taking too long, so I started over traditionally and ended up painting it with coffee. Which was fun, I've never painted with coffee before. Uhm, what else. I'm not really that happy with it, I'm not sure why. I think it's their faces, and Gerard's dress. I'd like to redo it digitally, actually.

Anyway, I'm a little embarrassed sharing it - I'm kind of a perfectionist - but I figure you're all nice people. :)
