Guess who finally got their learners permit!! ME :), finally at 17 lol but im in no hurry to learn how to drive :oP bc well gurpreets driving me around forever ;). Ive realized our DMV office sux, ive never been there b4 so when i got in there it was soo crowded, our appt *my aunt-- who doesnt speak english-- went too* was at 3 and we didnt get called till 330 i took the stupid computer test and the computer was sooo freaking slow!! so yeah i was done pretty fast but my mom and aunt had gone in bc my aunt needed to take the test orally so my mom was translating for her-- so yeah i had to wait 40 mins in scary DMV office with a bunch of scary ppl *lol im exaggerating but i didnt like it* this old guy sitting next to me started chatting with me and that kinda took away from my boredom, i know his life story but i cant remember his name.. so when my aunt and my mom finally came out and paid for my learners permit and hers and we got our pics taken *omg mine is the worst picture EVER* and yeah that was a total waste of 2.5 hours of my day!!
My aunt who doesn't speak english-- yeah she's my dad's younger sister and she didnt want to pursue school after 5th grade. My grandfather gave her a choice since she was totally uninterested and she chose not to go, so while my dad became a doctor she gave up schooling. She really regrets her decision now.. they moved from india to NY a little over 3 years ago and shes a brightlady shes picking up a lot of english etc. and then a year ago my dad told them to move from NY to Fl bc yeah they lived in the city and it was crowded and she hated it so my dad bought them a house 5 mins away from ours and helped my uncle find a store and helped him buy it with his friend, so yeah my dads really helped his sister out and their family is still a lil fobby but the kids really love us and are always all over us.. they *minus 1* are really good kids.. and gagan is soo cute :).
k so the day before was india shopping and we saw shrek 2 :-D *good movie* lol.. and then raminder and I went to go see our new lot/house.. we got a 5 acre lot in jupiter to build our house on.. theres a tiny house there already and we are living in there while our house is being built on another side of the property.. we are selling our house at the end of this summer we got it appraised and stuff the other day.. I'll miss this house when we move into the small one but I cant wait for my parent's dream house to be built!!
Going to india-- lol oyy all the horror stories ive heard from aunties and uncles who think they are funny *lol esp jo's dad and arsh's dad "preeti BIG mosquitoes!"* its been great.. we've been warned not to eat at ne1 elses house but "ours" *my dads* and there is no real sit down toilets *just the squatting ones lol* until we go to akal academy so we will really be roughing it out for 2 weeks..
