All I Wanna Do Is Have A Little Fun Before I Die.. ♥
Im at that point again where I don't know what I want to do with the rest of my life. My heart really isn't in teaching anymore. I love children, but im not sure if its worth it. They are laying off thousands of teachers this year in this area alone. They are cutting pay, and cutting benefits. And the burn out rate for teachers is higher than any other profession. And not only that, I really don't think that is what I want to do with the rest of my life.
Im looking into transferring to Eastern Michigan University because my school is irritating. Im also looking into some new majors there. I would like to do something with science, or technology or healthcare. Those are the professions that will be in high demand over the next few years, have very high growth rates, and pay well with room to improve. I think those would be challenging for me too, and keep me interested.. who knows. I just don't want to keep wasting thousands of dollars on classes..
Anyways! We decided to renew our apartment lease, were gonna wait 1 more year for a house. We want to have more time to look next time & such.. and we want to spend our extra money elsewhere right now! (Like a puppy that were looking at! :-P Haha)
Nothing else is new really.. Things have been great now that schools out because I have so much more time! Im still working a lot, but I got my nights and my wednesdays and sundays now! I have been caught up on laundry, cleaning, I dont have to squeeze in grocery shopping and stuff, and ive even been cooking more! Lol.. And I have more time to go do stuff.. AND My friend Ashley is home from Western for the summer which is very exciting! She stayed out there last summer, but this summer she wanted to come home! And ive been working out, and taking walks, and weve been golfing a lot.. Lifes pretty good right now!
Ivey wrote a post last night about Mike, and how they have been together for 4 years already! It really made me think about how fast time is flying by.. Benny & I have been together for 2 1/2 years.. I know that isn't a lot compared to the 22 years I have been alive, but they have been 2 1/2 of some of the most crucial years of my life.. Its weird to think about.. What will life be like in another 2 1/2 years ya know? My little sister is graduating next month.. that marks 4 years since I graduated.. CRAZY!
Anyways.. This weekend should be fun.. Last night we went to Steves for a BBQ.. then to the BlackBerry Brandy show with everyone.. Tonight Benny & I are bowling in an Autism benefit with Steve & Danielle, and then its Keith's birthday so were goin to the bar! Tomorrow is beer pong at Joel's house then Albert's! Sunday were taking Benny's mom out for a mothers day brunch.. My mom will be up north so they will be home Sunday night & I will see her then! :-) Dunno what else!
And thats pretty much it... Nothin exciting! Just hangin out, & havin fun! Sorry to bore you ;-)
