Not so Moaning Myrtle.
I had an actually rather pleasant conversation with Myrtle today. See there was a large crash coming from inside the girls toilette on the second floor followed by a high pitched screech. I ran in and heard poor Myrtle crying in her u-bend because some girl had made fun of her glasses, saying that ‘ghosts shouldn’t need them and they were too 40’s.’ After comforting her and reassuring her many times that her glasses looked absolutely splendid on her- as they do- and reminding her that most girls just wouldn’t understand we had a very pleasant conversation about hair ribbons. Did you know that she used to wear them all the time? Her favourite ones were the red pair that her father bought her for her 12th birthday. In fact she is still wearing them!
I love hair ribbons too. I used to wear them until my hair straightened out. I should bring Myrtle a pair of mine, I am sure it would cheer her up quite a bit.
Why do people have such a problem with her? She’s not scary at all; in fact she is quite nice. And she has the coolest room in the entire castle. I would love to live in the loo. It would be so much fun, and could prove to be quite cosy with a few charms here and there. I don’t know if I could sleep in the u-bend though, I’m just not that flexible.
That’s it, I am going to ask professor Flitwick for some charms that can help make the bathroom more comfy for Myrtle, and then we could have sleepovers! Such fun.
[ooc: I am sooo sowi I died last week, Carrie needs plot... badly. Idea's are muchly appreciated! The sooner I can figure something else the sooner Hufflepuff will have sky-rocketing house points! YAY!]
