Efforts to draw heavy-weighted letters of recommendation have led me to some interesting conversations. I argued on the phone with John Carter, the "father of republicans" congressman who also used to be the williamson county district judge. It was a friendly and fun phone call, but since he said he couldnt send a personal letter since he doesnt know me personally i said i couldnt vote for him without knowing him personally. (like I would vote for a hXc republican anyways).
I've also been emailing back and forth with Barbara Ehrenreich, an elite-liberal best-selling author (her current book is a top 10 seller - Nickel and Dimed). She also said she couldnt endorse me without knowing me personally but she said she loved the letter i wrote to her and asked if she could publish it. I guess thats my answer to all of those damn Army commercials. You know...if there was a book about your life, would someone want to read it? Well I wrote a famous author a long letter describing my life, and she asked if she could publish it, bitches.
In other words neither of those two attempts got me anywhere...but more lifetime experiences.
