I think i decided on a new years party to attend. Its not the swingers party as most of my friends have hoped for, but ive been guaranteed a new years kiss which is pretty much all i really care for. Since its going to be New Years now, its as good a time as any to start with a rough draft of resolutions. I have to start with a disclaimer though: I never really have believed in New Years resolutions, if people were really going to live up to what they say theyre going to do then they wouldnt need a bullshit reason such as New Years to start their plan.
1. Save over 12,000$ by the end of summer. I should be able to do this before summer.
1.a. It wouldnt make much difference if i lightened that load to say, 10,000 or 11,000 and saved a bit extra on the side and took a trip through Europe or Asia. I already have one brash do it yourself male who has shown serious interest (and hes financially capable) of backpacking for a month with me overseas. The only thing is where to go? <3 france, <3 italy, <3 china, <3 japan, <3 russia...and many more...definitely would be a tough choice should i choose to go that route.
2. Go to 9% body fat and raise my weight to 220 lbs. This takes a lot of work, but when you like the work youre doing, its not really work. I got a jumpstart on this by ordering 10 lbs of weight gainer the other day (5lbs chocolate and 5lbs cookies and cream). I also bought a gallon of spring water, so i could start doing the gallon of water a day thing, ill try and keep tally of how many days i can keep that up. This resolution should hit full steam at the start of the new year, thanks to all of the damn chocolate that everyone gave me.
3. Embark on an age of self-enlightenment. Since my transfer status has left me without school for 1 semester, which will be really weird, I'm going to try to learn some stuff on my own. My two jobs have some weird scheduling which should lead to me just sleeping in the car instead of driving back to round rock from time to time. Im fine with that, Ive got two car pillows and a comforter ready to go, just need to throw them in the trunk. But to pass some time when Im not sleeping or working there is a nearby Barnes and Nobles, I can read books and relax. I havent decided exactly what type of books to read though. Ive thought about trying to master a new language, also I feel like I could benefit from a Suzie Orman book or something along those lines. My brother recommended the new John Grisham book. A trip to a foreign country would probably expand my horizons as well...some way some how im sure i'll do it.
I have more, but i'll post those closer to new years, as everytime I try to post in my journal i get bombarded with IM's
