Uncle Marc and his girlfriend, Cheryl, came over for dinner tonight. Marc is probably my favorite uncle, and I really like Cheryl. I think this will be her second Christmas with us, so they've been together a while. She's the band director at Abington Heights, so of course I liked her already. =)
I felt so bad for her tonight, though. Gram sat her down and started complaining to her. Gram got a raise recently of $.25, which she was flipping out about. At least it's something, right? Then she was bitching about how crowded it is at Walmart today. Marc looks at her and goes, "why would you go to Walmart on the Saturday before Christmas?" Seriously, lol.
We had a nice dinner though. =)
Then I went to Sara's, and Sara and Kiki helped me with jewelry making stuff. I make nice earrings, but I'm not so good with the necklaces. Sara is my expert. Hell, she's the one who got me into this and painstakingly taught me how to use jewelry pliers.
I'm at James's now to sleep over. He just flipped out and I'm laughing. He used to do this all the time, and it used to upset me, but I'm better now and I just think it's ridiculous in a funny way.
What happened, was he's cutting pork butt to make more sausage with his grandmother. He had me sit with him while he cut the bone out and everything. So I'm watching him, and I'm like, "you know, I think I'd be able to do that if I wore gloves." For the record, I don't really cook. I don't really handle meat at all. So he like grabs my hand and is like "you're ridiculous, touch the fucking thing, come on just touch it it's not going to kill you". I'm just holding my arm steady and starting at him, like "no, wtf?" lol. His mom yelled a few times and then he told me to get out of the room, so I did. I heard his mom yelling some more after I came in here, but I didn't hear what she said.
He'll come up behind me later and hug me and say he's sorry. Guaranteed.
If this were 3 years ago, I'd be crying and he'd be storming out of the house or something. Over a little shit thing. We've come a long way. ♥
PS. Pop told me today that he thinks I'm getting a ring this Christmas. I mentioned it to James, and he said his aunt Debbie had asked him the same thing, if he was proposing. He's not. Hah.
