What none of you have been waiting for!!
!It's been almost a month and I doubt anyone even cares about this post now!
Well it's been some time but here is a summary of my awesome trip to Red Bank NJ with Tauzin.
If you don't know we went to Red Bank NJ last Thursday August 2nd to see Kevin Smith on his 37th birthday for a Q&A.
We left about 1pm and started the drive towards Jersey. The drive went well until we got into Jersey. About two minuets into the state someone cut off Tauzin which lead to him getting angry. Good ole NJ making people angry since 1928©. We got into town and went straight to the secret stash which is Kevin Smith's comic shop. After that we decided to grab a bit to eat at this restaurant that was all about plays where I got an awesome red pepper and mozzarella vegi burger. On the way there this guy started yelling "BOARDIES!" at us. we had no clue what that meant, but all he wanted to know was if we were on the view askew boards.
Then it was time for the show. Now keep in mind that the show started at 7pm. When we got into the theater one of the crew came out and told us that Kevin Smith would come out and do his intro and then he would stop and do the outro. We were doing this so that the DVD would seem like there was a full audience for the whole show. So he came out and we sang him happy birthday and thanked us all for coming out and talked a little about his childhood, and then stopped and pretended like it was the end of the show and did a little "thanks for coming out, good night!".
After that he came back out and we started the Q&A portion. This started out with a nice easy question that went something along these lines "did you like doing the voice over in 'insert random animated film here', did you ever think about doing a children's book?". The answer to this took an hour, in which time we learned all about his 3 dogs and all of their adventures and genitals.
This was a great start for the evening so we settled into our crappy little "LITTLE!" seats and listened to topics that included stories about
-Bruce Willis and Die Hard
-Jason Mewes becoming a grownup of sorts
-J-Lo and some troubles with toilet paper
-Tim Olifantastic
-Dissing Superman movie
-Anal fissure story
At this point about 7 hours had gone by it was 2 am and I could barley move my knee anymore. Kevin Smith wrapped it up and Tauzin and I started the journey back to good ole York Pa. The drive back was really smooth and we got back in around 5am or so. I got back and fell asleep before I could even change.
It was an awesome day from start to finish. I would have stayed even longer if he spoken more.
