That "roses really smell like poo poo" Outkast song is stuck in my head ahhh!!
So, I have been enjoying being a lazy bum [though doing many things at times but not posting]. I'm trying to stop really but it's hard. You always forget how it seems like there is *forever* to do everything during the longish vacation time. And it never turns out like that *g*.
Nothing too exciting going on here: I've been cooking a bunch especially since my mum's sick - I hope she did not catch my flu bug cause her symptoms are all akin to what I had like a week ago... it seems longer:).
I went to get a million shots yesterday. That was not fun. First because for some reason they hold the foreign travel health clinic at the mental inpatient ward (yea..ehhh I don't really wanna talk about all I saw there... it was sad and scary at the same time) and also cause it costs a pretty penny to let someone stick you with some typhoid and hep B vaccines... I made them put all the shots in my left arm (I'm a righty) and I couldn't move it up or down last night - couldn't do yoga = boooo to shots. But it seems almost totally recovered by this morning which is good.
My cat is the cutest - when we are home alone i.e. just me here hehe she is like a guard dog - waking me up when there is the gas company's car in the driveway and going "grrrr rhaww" when the phone or the door bell rings. No wonder the vet said she was stressed out last year;) lol (Back then I was like "what stress? I have stress, what stress can she possibly have?" but I think it's because she wants a boy cat since she is not neutered and stuff and it's too late to do it now hence, stress).
I can't believe that TOMORROW is the last Angel day. I wish I could gather all of you my fandom buddies around me and have comfort food *sniffle*.
And even though I'm not as sad as I originally thought I would be it is still rather shocking to think that all these characters - some of which have been around for 8 or so years - that really became a part of my life, a big part no matter how some may say that's lame - are to be no longer.... It's a big deal to me! I'll miss my Spike the most of course. But James seems the most open to coming back so we shall see... anyone else find it weird the UPN is now going to show Angel reruns on weekends? Yet they didn't want to pick up the show...
Maybe leaving the immediateness of the Jossverse (on TV that is - dvds are a different tale) behind is part of my "growing up?" Hitting the 2-0 this year? For some reason an age I never thought I'd reach... It still seems so far away even though it's only a couple months off.... I thought I'd get some much more *done* in life by then... but oh, well:) As I said to the lovely b-day girl alanna (*weee* Happy birthday again to my very appreciated and loved and talented wisteria_) you're as old as you feel and I *know* all of us have that inner 5-year old still;)
Finally: [in case someone wasn't up to speed on this *g*: I LOVE OUR FANDOM! It is for sure the most dedicated and lovely ever and it will remain forever "undead" just like our favorite characters!
