Because the photo shoots are so cute I ended up translating this thing... T__T the disaster of being a girl who is easily fooled by appearances...

「Nino looks like he never goes out of his house, so let’s present him with a travel voucher! Because Shou kun said that he had no hobby, I’ll think of something for him. A dumbbell for MatsuJun who has recently started to train his body, then because Riida is too tanned, some SPF50 would help stop the suntan. For me…, right now in my everyday life, there is nothing which can make me think “it's going to be painful without this”. If I just have to pick something, then vitamin? (laugh)」
Ohno Satoshi
If I win a lottery, I will give the members a half of what I get
「I will buy 30 tickets. How much do 30 lottery tickets cost?」, as Ohno said this, Aiba who was next to him gave a weird reply 「1 ticket is 300 yen so… 6000 yen!」 (X Monster's comment: amazing calculation, as expected from Miracle Boy. Now I seriously think that someone should try asking him 5x10 equals???). 「Isn’t it 9000 yen? (laugh). If I win… (he seems to be happy) I will give away a half! That would be my reward to them, because I was able to go fishing a lot during 2009. Because I went fishing too much, next year, I would want to be able to finish the painting I’m drawing now.」

「For MatsuJun who has just picked up golf… looks like he’s already got some clubs, so I’ll go with clothing. A boating license for Ohno kun. (T/N: I’m pretty sure I’ve got this right but... can boating license be bought and given as a gift??? According to sukiyaki_sally, yes, they can be bought :D) A hugging pillow for Aiba kun. Because he once said that he wanted one. A hat for Nino. Because I think I have seen the green mesh cap he wore today for a really long time. For myself, a one week vacation… ah, but I guess it isn't that necessary after all.」

For Ohno kun, I can’t think of anything other than a fishing rod (laugh)
「For Aiba san, first of all, a vacation. (X Monster’s comment: good idea Nino, so that Aiba chan and Shou chan can go on a vacation together. I know, I’ll shut up now) It’s “you have done well with your drama”. A fishing rod for Ohno kun. So that he can go fishing all he wants. A suit for Shou kun, I guess. I’d want him to wear it on TV shows. Some training equipment for MatsuJun. Because he likes those, doesn’t he? For myself, I’d want to hear a “you have tried your best”. With the 5 of us, I can feel a sense of invincibility. Even viruses will have to stay away from us!」

Diamonds for the members, and some time to go on a trip for me
「Isn’t diamond used as a gift in 10th wedding anniversaries? (X Monster’s comment: yes, yes, there's that stuff all right. Now look who is always so reluctant to answer questions like “which member would you like to go out with?” LOL) It’s the 10th year for Arashi too, that’s why. Of course if it’s the real thing, the cost would be… I only want to spend 30,000 yen on them (laugh). (T/N: roughly $330. Jun, you cheapskate!) I’d want to give some time to myself, I guess. With that time, I’d want to go on a trip. Comfortably spending time in Hawaii without thinking of anything, and getting some passion from the sudden change of seasons in New York, if I can go to either of those places it’d be the best!」

From now on too, the 5 of us, as Arashi
“The member who stands at the front presses the self-shutter, and the remaining 4 people follow his pose to fit into the frame”. The photos from this issue’s collection were taken with such a request. MatsuJun took up the challenge first as the top batter. As expected, with the training received from variety shows, everyone instantly understood the instruction of the staff, and went on to show us different poses displaying their individual character. Even though the 4 people at the back couldn’t see the facial expression of the person in front, the faces they made, be it smiles or other poses, were all the same. That showed us their teamwork and how much they understood each other. When Sakurai called out “Here I go~!” and finished the shoot, Nino said “Good” and gave him a thumbs up. When Aiba interrupted Ohno’s posing with a “This is questionable~”, the other members burst into laughter… At the end of 2009, they are going to have their first appearance at Kouhaku Uta Gassen (NHK, December 31), as 2010 begins, the drama that all 5 of them act in (Fuji TV, January 9th, “Saigo no Yakusoku”) will be broadcast, and so the fever keeps going on. But while waiting for the set change, they still very naturally formed a circle and idly chatted with each other, still were the honest Arashi as usual.
