Brendan/Averillix RP...the conclusion. :)

Jun 29, 2005 13:50

This is the second part of Ave and Brendan's RP from yesterday. :) It's kinda sad, in a completely mushy way. But hey, it was fun. ;) Hehe.

Brendan's smirk never leaves his face, his back still turned as the guy swings his fist at him. Almost looking bored with the whole thing, Brendan's form quickly flickers and fades out, his form turning that translucent blue shade again. The guy's fist flies right through him, and he stumbles forward...it was as if he had swung at air. Reforming quickly, Brendan grabs the guy by the back of his hair and yanks him upwards so that he can whisper near his ear..."Mistake number one..." he replies..."You were born without a sense of humor." He then slams the guy downwards so that his head hits the table, knocking him silly. Brendan then yanks him up again, the guys' eyes all googly..."Mistake number two...you insulted my best friend for no apparent reason..." He slams him down again with a loud thud...then pulls him back up. "And mistake number three...you threw the first punch." His arm turning translucent, it goes through the middle of the guy as Brendan punches him, then reforms as he pulls it back out...needless to say, the guy screams rather loudly as the sound of cracking ribs is heard. ;) Eventually, Brendan lets the guy go, and he falls to the flood in a whimpering heap. As a couple patrons scramble around, shouting 'someone call an ambulance!', Brendan nonchalantly straightens his hat, then walks toward the door. "Check, please..." he calls out to the waiter, before stepping outside to where Ave is. "Ave? You out here?" he asks, his tone sympathetic...

"Oui. I am over here." She's still leaning against the wall, but Averillix's hands are quickly and hastily wiping at her lower lids, the girl seemingly trying to get her eyes to a sort of normalish green; instead, they seem to flicker between that color, and silver. She peers over to the door and, seeing Brendan, she smiles faintly. "You are okay, no?"

Brendan walks up to Ave, grinning faintly as he hears the commotion continuing on inside..."Oh yeah, I'm fine...not a scratch on me." He smiles for a moment, then it fades as he sees that she seems to be very upset. "Look, Ave, what that guy said...none of it is true. He was just an ass...unfortunately, there are too many people out there that are like that...it's one of the reasons why I dislike people so much. They don't -think- before they open their big mouths. Heh, I doubt that guy will be saying anything for awhile..." he chuckles dryly. "Don't let what he said get to you, alright? You're a sweet girl, and you don't deserve that kind of treatment." He reaches out and pats her on the shoulder, offering her a warm smile. "Your nationality has nothing to do with anything...actually, I think your accent is cute..." he grins, blushing slightly. There he goes again.

Averillix nods gently, being able to at least stabilize her eye color to a sort of muddy green. "It is just, it is not the first time that has been said to me. And you did not have to fight him for me," she adds, peering up at him. "Do not get in trouble just for me to be okay, okay?" She frowns deeply. "I do not want to not be able to see you again."

Brendan chuckles, shaking his head, "Hey, he didn't give me a choice. I knew you wouldn't want me to fight, but he swung at me first...so I figured I'd teach him a lesson. As you can hear, I think the lesson was taught..." he grins. "And so what if it isn't the first time you heard that...who are you going to believe, some idiots, or me?" He winks. As she mentions not being able to see him again, he frowns slightly, himself. He knew this would end up being a problem if he ever ran into anyone he knew over here. "Ave..." he sighs. "If it was up to me, I would stay here as much as I possibly could. But...it isn't up to me, and I'll have to probably leave here tomorrow. I'm not sure when I would be back...it may be awhile again. The school I am attending is very strict in things like that...it's quite far away...but that's all I can really say." He takes off his hat again, and places it back on Ave's head, trying to smile. "But that's tomorrow. I'm here right now, right?" he shrugs. "Here..." he reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a cellphone. He hands it to her. "My number is automatically on there. If you ever need to talk, feel free to give me a call. I figure it's better than completely losing contact altogether, right?"

Averillix smiles some. "I guess, no, then," she sighs. She tries to keep on the little mask of happiness, but it's not so much of an effort as Brendan puts his hat on her head. It sank a little far down, and she giggles, placing her hands on the bill and lifting it up some. There it is: the full smile. The young woman watches as he digs for the cellphone, and as he hands it to her, she tilts her head; when its purpose is explained, she gives a nod, and laugh. "Right!"

Brendan's smile brightens as well as he sees that he apparently has cheered her up...her genuine smile is a good indication. "And like I said, you can keep the hat." He chuckles, "Want me to autograph it for you, too?" he jokes, giving her a playful poke in the side. "Anyway, I'm not usually busy so feel free to call me anytime. If I am busy, I can still try to make time to talk to you. I dunno what my teachers will think of this, but I don't care." He smiles again...it seems like he does a lot of that when he's talking to her. "So do you feel better now?"

Averillix shifts the phone in her left hand, running her fingers along the side and back. Her right hand's busy adjusting the bill of the cap, and she giggles as she's poked. "I do not have a marker pen for you to sign it with anyway. But I will call you," she adds, looking down at the phone. Aww. All shy again. And she nods several times. "But yes. I feel a lot better, now."

Brendan nods his head, "Good, because I'll be expecting your calls..." he grins. "And like I said earlier, you look way cuter than I do in that hat...even if it's a tad too big." he laughs. "But it's not my fault I have a huge head..." He notices her getting shy again, "You know...you sure like to look down at the ground a lot, don't you? I'm sure you can tell me every detail about where we're standing at the moment...." he chuckles, teasing her. "Hey, I think it'd be a good idea if we kinda got out of here before the authorities get here..." he grins..."Got anyplace in mind you wanna go? Anything is fine with me...."

Averillix shifts some, and then she peers up at Brendan. "It is not because I do not like your eyes or anything!" she stammers quickly. "They are cool. Like, super really cool. Well, no..." She pauses as she senses herself about to slip into French, and then she gives a tinier, sheepish smile. "I just realized that I was being rude, for staring," she covers herself. She presses her lips together gently, thinking as she peers at him, eyes glowing softly. "Somewhere... green?"
Brendan doesn't remember mentioning anything about his eyes, and so an amused expression crosses his face as he watches Ave stammer as she tries to think of what exactly she wants to say. "No, no, that's alright..." he chuckles. "I didn't notice you staring, and even if you were that's alright too...because I've never been stared at before. So it's good for my ego..." he grins, reaching over and tweaking the bill of her new cap, gently tugging it down over her eyes. "Somewhere green is good, heh...this -is- New York though, so good luck in finding a place aside from Central Park. Heh." He then remembers that he isn't supposed to go anywhere without Sabella being there to watch him. "There is one thing, though. Eh, Sabella has to kinda watch me...it's sorta a policy that the place I go to school has. We can't be unsupervised. So she'll be tagging along..." he glances up, seeing her standing at the door of the coffeeshop. He smiles and nods to her, before looking back to Ave. "That ok with you?"
"Hey!" Averillix grins, reaching up and pulling the hat from over her eyes. The bit about Sabella, though, she nods slightly to, peering around the corner at the cafe. She gives a little wave with her fingers. "Allo." Her shoulders then rise up and down with a shrug, and she places her hands into her back pockets. "Dis, it is okay with me."

Brendan chuckles as Ave turns and waves to Sabella, and Sabella simply smiles in return at her. Who knows what she is thinking. ;) "Oh, and there's something else I forgot to mention...if you can keep the phone I gave you hidden, and not let anyone know that you have it, that would be a good thing." He can't really say anything else about it, and he shrugs in return. "Alright, good...let's go." He offers his arm to Ave, smiling to her warmly. "Shall we?" Boy, isn't he Mr Polite all of a sudden? ;)

Averillix's brows knit together, but she gives another little grin; she loops her arms in his, then shakes her head. "It is just a cell phone, but okaay," she says, giving a long, drawn out mock of a sigh. She likes Mr. Polite. :D Or Mr. Rude to Humans. Still Brendan, either way.

And so, with the little details of life having been talked about at the park, and a whooole lot of updating for Mr. Lives-on-Island, Averillix had suggested coming back to somewhere /near/ the bar. Not neccessarily in it, but still. She's currently, however, busy trying to wrestle his hand from him, giggling brightly into the still busy New York night. "It is not going to /kill/ you if you let me hold it for, like, two seconds," she insists, teasing him outright.

Brendan had just probably had one of the most fun evenings he has ever had, and it basically just involved talking about lots of stuff. Usually to him, talking to others wasn't high on his list of enjoyable things to do, but with Ave, everything just seemed totally different. He probably could have spent the rest of the night there in the park, chatting about this and that (though he never mentioned anything about the BH, remembering that he isn't supposed to), and generallly just enjoying himself in Ave's company. As the two walk back towards the Sanctuary, the situation there had been cleared up by now and things were back to normal. He playfully keeps on moving his hand out of the way as Ave tries to grab it..."Nope! Try to get it now...ooops! Missed again! You gotta be faster than that..." he grins. Finally, he lets her take his hand, feeling himself blushing as she does so. "Well...I guess I have to be going..." He sees Sabella there waiting for him, and he gives her a look as if to say 'gimmie a few minutes'...and she nods her head to him with a grin. "It's been awesome seeing you again, Averillix..." He turns to look at her, not really quite sure what else to say...he was never good at these sort of things.
Averillix giggles as her attempts turn out in vain, but the last one's a solid connect, and she squeezes his hand gently. There's an inner fight going on within her right now, shown by the different shades of her eyes, though her smiles remains on her lips. At last, though, she gives a little sigh, nodding and peering up into the eyes which are so much like hers, but sapphires compared to emeralds. "I will call you, when I can," she says softly. Dun cry, Avex! Be strong!!

Brendan reaches down to take Ave's other hand in his, and he holds them both, squeezing lightly in return as he smiles warmly down at her. He seems pretty reluctant to leave, himself, though he knows that if he doesn't go back, very bad things would happen to him...and possibly Ave. He tries to remember 'The Cause' above everything else...obviously he felt strongly about it, otherwise he never would have searched out Sabella in the first place. He just looks down at her for a few long moments, his eyes connecting with hers, and he squeezes her hands. "And I will answer when you call," He replies. "You take care of yourself, Ave...don't let anyone ever tell you you can't do something. Remember, it's all in your head. If someone tries to put you down, simply walk over and stomp on their foot as hard as you can, to let em know you won't take their crap." He grins. "Sometimes you gotta show the world that you won't take things lying down, y'know?"

Averillix nods, slowly, with each reassurance. Her thumbs rub along the backs of his hands, and, as her eyes are about to get lighter, they quickly plunge to a dark green at the foot stomping part. Gentle, nice, docile Averillix? Right... But she'd remember it. She peers over at Sabella after another moment's silence, then turns back to Brendan, speaking just as softly as she had before. "It's okay to hug with you, no...?" Her head tilts slightly to one side.
Brendan simply stands there, holding her hands in his and looking down into her eyes for awhile. A light smile touches his face, and he seems to have lost his train of thought...he isn't sure exactly how long he stands there looking down at her. Finally, her words shake him out of his daze, and he blinks, nodding with a chuckle..."Oh, er...yeah...sure...why not?" he replies to her request for a hug. "And I know what you're thinking...you don't think you'd be able to actually hit anyone, right? Well...you'd be surprised at what you can do when you really think about it. And sometimes, people really need a good foot stomping to wake them up out of the haze of stupidity they are in." 'The whole human race needs it, actually...' he says inside his head, but he doesn't say it aloud.
Averillix giggles softly, shaking her head, the dark green tips swaying from side to side. "Right, right. If I /have/ to, then maybe." She lets go of one of his hands, wrapping that arm around him, before allowing the other to join it. At least Brendan wasn't -too- much taller than her. It'd make things a lot more awkward than they already sort of were. She sighs, though, squeezing him gently. "Come back soon, okay? Do not make it another whole year." She's grinning as she says this, yes.

Brendan laughs, and nods his head. "Hopefully you won't have to, but if you do, don't be afraid to." As she slips her arms around him in a hug, his arms return the gesture, squeezing her firmly in return...he holds the hug for as long as he can, not remembering the last time he had actually liked hugging someone that much. "I promise, I will come back the next time I get the opportunity to, trust me." He finally pulls away from her, though he slips his hands into hers again and squeezes them, a bittersweet smile upon his face, his eyes reflecting his reluctance to leave. He turns and nods to Sabella, letting her know that he is coming. Leaning down, Brendan gives her a light kiss in the middle of her forehead, which she probably isn't expecting...and he isn't sure where it came from, either. "Be well, Ave...your plants are counting on you," he teases, winking.

White, go her eyes, and Averillix smiles up at Brendan, adjusting the cap some after that little affection-thing passes. "I will." Realizing, though, that if one of them -doesn't- eventually let go, she takes a few steps backward, until the tips of her fingers slip from his. She then sticks them into her back pockets, returning that smile. "See you soon?" she grins.

Brendan nods his head, "Sure thing, babe..." he teases, his own hands going into his pockets as he slowly backs away from her, though he keeps his eyes on her as he goes..."Take care of yourself..." As he reaches Sabella, he turns and begins to follow her back in the direction of the boat. Before disappearing around the corner of the building, Brendan glances back over his shoulder and smiles at Ave, raising a hand to wave and give her a thumbs up, before he is gone...

Averillix waves back. After Brendan is gone from sight, though, she continues standing there, giving a soft sigh, then turns. Long walk to the subway, and lots to think about.
