Rolled Lips and Clay Covered Hips!

I am very proud of myself today.

I went to the Sawdust Festival with my grandma and she paid $8 for me to get to throw a vase on one of their wheels. When the lady found out that I had done ceramics before she let me operate the wheel by myself and left me to my own devices.

Some people thought I was giving a demonstration (gradma heard them talking about me I didn't),  a woman thought I worked there and asked me to explain to them what they needed to do so they could throw something too. I had head down and was working when I hear an "How do you do this?" and lookde a little miffed that she had been standing there so long before I took notice of her. I smiled and expalined to her that I actually didn't work there but I could tell her how to, so I explained the process to her. :)

I threw a vase, it was a little off center (What of my pieces aren't? lol) and I pulled a little fast, but it didn't tork, it didn't colapse, I was able to collar it in, and wait for it.... I DID A ROLLED LIP! YES! First time too! I am awesome.

When I was handlign my piece over to be fired (I'll get it back within 4-6 weeks...many years ago they lost a mug I made there :( ) A man asked me "That was your first time?" very impressed I told him, "No, I have had classes." then he explained to me that he had wondered that becuase I was good. I joked that it was my super power.

I was wearing my turquise ruffle dress and black flip-flops... I could free Amanda looking at me even though she was not there. lol. But I did have my hair tied back and they gave me an apron to wear. But I of crouse got clay all over my legs and prodly wore it as war paint for the rest of the day. :D

It is b-mix, I don't get to pick the glaze it will be random. :)

I also had auditions last night for "Jekyll and Hyde" at Stage Door, long story short, bitch who made my life hell when I SMed it was there... But I made it comfty like with being nice and no claws were drawn. But I only got offered the bit woman part so respectfully declined it. Not worth it and I can do better. I am proud of myself today.
