Chapter 1-13

Lindsay didn´t want to open her eyes and she didn´t want to get out of bed. Actually, she barely even remembered how she´d got there.

She had been so thankful for Derek not asking any questions when she had appeared at his apartment door last night. He had showed her the guest room and Lindsay had just sat down on the bed, staring at the wall for God knew how long.

She didn´t know when she had fallen asleep, but she felt terrible right now, so she couldn´t have slept very well.

Lindsay blinked when she felt a movement on the bed. She caught a glimpse of Derek, but it was the smell of coffee that made her open her eyes entirely.

“Morning.” He smiled and Lindsay could now fully see the tray he was holding. There was a cup of coffee, toast, fruits and various types of jam on it.

You made me breakfast. She wanted to say, but somehow the words wouldn´t come out of her mouth. A tight feeling was coiling up in her chest again and she didn´t even make an effort to fight it. She was screwed anyway.

“Look.” Derek placed the tray on the night stand. “I don´t know what exactly happened, I´ve seen the blogs though, and I just want you to know that I´m here if you want to talk.”

Lindsay was barely able to nod. Her whole body just felt numb and she was so incredibly tired, all she wanted to do was to crawl back under the covers and never leave the bed again.

“Strange how it all seems to come at once though.” Derek shrugged his shoulders and got up from the bed, but Lindsay held him back.

“Hm?” What was he talking about?

“Well the thing about you was on the gossip blogs along with the news about your friends from that show you were in. I mean it´s never nice to be outed, but it´s twice as hard if you have to read it on a gossip blog.”

Lindsay felt her stomach drop. “W…what?” she asked and Derek pulled out his I phone. The display was showing an article on the same gossip site her own article had been on.

From the closet to LA?!

Out and proud? Well we don´t think so. Damian McGinty and Cameron Mitchell, two contestants of Ryan Murphy´s successful Casting show to find a new Character for his hit series Glee, were known to have “The bromance of the century”

Both made it very clear that they were “just friends”, or at least that´s what they wanted us to think.

Well, the boys, who both reportedly have had girlfriends in the past, should have been a little more careful in hiding their relationship.

Just yesterday they were seen getting cozy in a restaurant downtown LA. Witnesses said they “Were a little hesitant at first, but in the end they were even kissing.”

There hasn´t been an official confirmation yet, but it´s hard to deny by now.

So does Glee really make you go gay?

There have long been rumors about the Glee actors Lea Michele and Dianna Agron and Chris Colfer and Darren Criss dating. Nothing was ever confirmed but neither of them denied a relationship.

Well for now this is all we have, but we will keep our eyes open for your dear readers. Stay tuned!

Lindsay almost dropped the phone after reading the article. That couldn´t be true, how did this happen?
“Are you ok?” Derek looked concerned, but Lindsay couldn´t really speak. She could only imagine how Cam and Damian were feeling. The article had been online way before the news about her freak out on the train and Damian had still cared about her. He had asked what had happened to her, even though he probably had a whole lot of other problems.

And I totally ignored him…

Lindsay suddenly felt guilty, she had the urge to call Damian and to apologize, but he was probably busy trying to save his career and his relationship, so she grabbed her phone and sent him a message instead.

The reply came instantly.

Usually Lindsay would smile, but she really didn´t feel like doing it right now. Still, she was glad that her friends seemed to be doing ok. She put her phone away and looked up, but Derek was gone.

Lindsay turned her head, the tray with her breakfast was still on the bedside table.

“Well I have to eat something…”

-

Marissa had suddenly been glad for her acting skills and how good she had gotten at lying during the time she had been anorexic. She had convinced her parents that Lindsay was staying at a friend´s place in the city and that they would meet up on Friday for the Wicked backstage tour and the performance. Her father had insisted on driving her into the city though, which was why she was standing in front of the Gershwin theatre now.

She really didn´t want to go, but she had no logical excuse not to go and she couldn´t tell her parents what had happened between Lindsay and her.

Maybe she´s not coming… Marissa thought. Lindsay probably didn´t want to see her either so she wouldn´t show up.

The thought of Lindsay always brought back the memories from a few days ago. Lindsay´s face appeared in front of her and Marissa could always see the hurt in the other girl´s eyes. Her chest tightened immediately and she bit her lip.

Why was I so stupid?

She had destroyed everything they´ve ever had and everything they could have had, just because she had been jealous, jealous of a guy she didn´t even know.

“Excuse me?” she suddenly heard a voice and turned around. A young woman with long blonde hair was standing in front of her, smiling. “You´re here for the backstage tour, right?”

Marissa could only nod.

“Great, this way!”

The woman led Marissa into the theatre. The stage was just as big as she remembered it from the first time she had seen the show. Of course it was something else entirely to actually be on the stage.

“You just have to wait for a little while, the guy that´s doing the tour should be here soon. Oh and…” she nodded over to the other side of the stage, where a guy was just sitting down in front of a piano. “Don´t worry about Dave, we´ve got a new guy in our ensemble and he needs some practice.”

Marissa tried a smile and the woman disappeared. The stage was impressive, but it suddenly seemed way too big for her. All she wanted to do was to go back home and crawl into her bed. She just knew that she wouldn´t enjoy the show, not without Lindsay. Marissa didn´t know how long she had been standing in the middle of that stage, but the soft tunes of the piano were suddenly replaced with the sound of a voice.

“Marissa?”

Oh great…now I´m already hearing her voice… Marissa shook her head, but the voice wouldn´t go away.

“Marissa.”

She finally opened her eyes and felt her heart drop to her stomach. Lindsay was standing on the other side of the stage, looking at her.

“I thought…I thought you wouldn´t come.” Lindsay said and Marissa didn´t know what to do. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. Her heart was beating like crazy and she felt her hands shaking.

Oh God, I gotta get out of here. Was all she could think. She couldn´t talk to Lindsay, not after all the things she had said to her.

Marissa´s feet acted on their own, she had turned around and had almost reached the stairs, when she suddenly heard the piano. Dave had started to play a song. Marissa stopped in her tracks, she knew that melody. And before she could think about it any further, Lindsay voice sounded through the air.

Maybe I'm brainless
Maybe I'm wise
But you've got me seeing
Through different eyes

Marissa turned around slowly, just to find Lindsay standing next to the piano, one hand clutched to her chest.

Somehow I've fallen
Under your spell
And somehow I'm feeling
It's 'up' that I fell...

Lindsay´s voice was sending shivers down Marissa´s spine and she felt goose bumps all over her body. She took a deep breath and without even wanting to, she began to sing.

Every moment
As long as you're mine
I'll wake up my body
And make up for lost time

It was like their bodies were drawn to each other and even if they wouldn´t have wanted to, they kept walking towards each other.

Just a few feet away from each other they stopped and Marissa could see the tears that had formed in Lindsay´s eyes.

Say there's no future
For us as a pair

Lindsay drew in a shaky breath. All she wanted was to leap forward into Marissa´s arms, but she somehow couldn´t. She had no idea what to feel or to say, all she could do was sing.

And though I may know
I don't care!

Marissa could feel the tears forming in her own eyes now and she bit her lip. There was so much she wanted to say to Lindsay, she wanted to apologize and wanted to tell her how much she meant to her. She looked at Lindsay and their eyes found each other.

I love you. Marissa thought and she hoped that her eyes would tell, that Lindsay could understand her.

Just for this moment
As long as you're mine
Come be how you want to
And see how bright we shine
Borrow the moonlight
Until it is through

They were both singing now, only having eyes for the other, and without even realizing it Lindsay had reached out her hand. Marissa noticed the movement and did the same, intertwining their fingers.

They both looked at their hands and back at each other.

And know I'll be here holding you
As long as you're mine

The last tunes of the song faded into the air and both girls were still looking at each other. They were holding on tight and without being able to stop it, a little smile formed on their lips.

“Linds…I…” Marissa began, but was suddenly interrupted by applause.

“Wow, that was amazing!”

Both girls turned around and caught sight of Derek, who was walking towards the stage.

“Derek?” Lindsay asked, a little confused. She had completely forgotten that he was part of the Wicked ensemble now.

Marissa looked from Derek to Lindsay and bit her lip. “I…I have to go.” And with that she was gone.
