Matt McNamara from Nip/Tuck
Never before in my television watching life have I EVER seen a character like Matt. He is without a doubt one of the most unsympathetic characters I have ever come across. Straight from Wikipedia here:
Sean and Julia's extremely troubled and amoral teenage son. His vast list of crimes include running over and disfiguring a classmate, assaulting a transsexual, and filing false child abuse reports with child welfare against his father, Sean. Later during Season 2, Matt finds out Christian is his biological father. He was also involved with a post-op transsexual, whom he believed to be a woman, and briefly believed he was in love with. He is currently in a quasi-romantic relationship with Kimber Henry, who was romantically involved with both Sean and Christian and who has introduced him to Scientology, which he has enthusiastically embraced. Since his conversion, and possibly partially because of his involvement with Kimber, he has cut Christian out of his life for the time being, labeling him as an "SP," or suppressive personality. He has since left the religion and Kimber. He briefly turned to armed robbery in order to support his life style, and he eventually is caught and does some time in state prison, but has since been released.
The guy is a constant screw up and a lot of people would be like "Matt never had any character growth" but honestly, I KNOW people like him. They fuck up over and over and over again, they never learn a damn thing, they just keep going and going down the same destructive path. They hurt anyone who comes within contact with them. So while I think Matt was annoying as all get out, I think he was neccessary and a very very realistic character to portray that kind of person.
