People make mistakes, but you gotta deal. People tend to put their hearts into things they feel they didn't have growing up. I know I did. There's no reason to feel it was solely your fault for anything that happened. You're not selfish for "stepping up and killing it", so don't pretend or feel that you are.
You have the potential to do anything you want to. I mean that sentence may seem redundant, but READ it. Anything we WANT to. What we want can and will change based on our perceptions of ourselves and our surroundings. Word to the wise, time wont stop for our needs, and emotions wont get themselves in check when we need them to. Don't think that when you do go to school, you wont have other emotional dilemmas that plague your heart and eat away at your mind. They will wear you down and eat at you from the inside(but only if you let them).
I feel the same way you do, and it leaves a bittersweet tang upon my lips if I were to ever speak these words aloud: "Failure isn't what you don't do; It's what you do do(hehe doodoo)." I believe that life isn't a journey segmented in parts we deem fair for the time, but an everlasting tapestry of experience. It's not that you didn't go to school. It's not that you "failed your friends and family". You're still living now, and to me, that's not failing; it's learning. It's never too late to start ANYTHING.
