Pictures from BRAZIL. Part Two

Another day when I have some time and another update, don’t you like it that way?
This time pics from Salvador. Just like Florianopolis was a little bit more “European” and “white” comparing to the rest of Brazil, Salvador was definitely the most “black” and “African” from all the places we have seen with traditional cuisine, religion which is a mix of Catholicism and native African beliefs, fashion and architecture.

This was also the only place where we didn’t know anyone yet and the only contacts we have got were from other friends who knew somebody etc. And that’s the beauty about being a part of the international hardcore scene where you can go to the other side of the globe and complete strangers are going to treat you like family offering food, help and shelter.

One of the first places they took us was this open air market and it’s not the one mentioned in guide books where they just try to rip white tourist but a real one. The only problem was that they told it wouldn’t be wise to take out Patricia’s biggest camera and rather use the smallest/cheapest one and shoot carefully.

Our crew.

They say it’s over 360 churches in Salvador, enough to visit a different one each day during a year.

One of our hosts has a son who is vegan straight edge since birth.

On our last day in Salvador we took a ferry to an island called Itaparica and stayed there for a night which turned out to be an amazing idea.

Agua de coco!!!
