1 more week
Only 1 more week left at Harris. I'm so ready to start my new job. I haven't been excited like this over a job in a long time, since last year to be exact when I was starting in the ER. It only took a year to get burnt out of the ER scene? I guess arguing w/ people when they don't get the pain medicine they want just gets old. I'm gonna stay PRN (as needed) at Harris so I can pick up OT while I'm in orientation at St. B's. Then I'll probably cut ties completely. Only reason I'll do that is b/c you have to be gone for so long before you can pick up another sign on bonus there. I can see myself going back 1 day if the price is right.
My sleep schedule as been TERRIBLE this weekend. I've only been sleeping about 3-4 hours at night but at 9-10 am hits and I'm ready to sleep for another 5-6 hours. It's probably good I'm taking a week off between jobs to get used to the day time schedule.
Shanley has started kindergarten and she's off to a good start. She's doing really good right now. The only thing so far that has tripped her up is the lower case "g". Has trouble getting the tail right. Addy has started a new day care and as much as I loved her staying w/ Marilyn it looks like this was a good thing to do. She is doing so much better w/ other kids now.. she's not AS selfish as she used to be. The girls had a good summer, 2 trips to Magic Springs and our family vacation to the Gulf. Next month we'll be getting ready for Halloween and one of my favorite family traditions that we started 2 years ago.. Pumpkin Hollow.
Watched Dragonball Evolution w/ Brian the other night and wow. All I heard was how terrible the movie was. I really liked it. I knew it wouldn't follow the original story all the way and maybe that was a good thing. I read online that they have a part 2 written and ready to go. All I can say is "DO IT!" The special effects were really good and the fight scenes were great. My only complaint was Krillin was left out of the movie and he was one of my favorite characters.
Took Brian out for his bachelor party 2 Fridays ago. We went to the comedy club in Little Rock and now I'm really wanting to go back. I had never been to 1 before but I really REALLY enjoyed it. Hopefully when Brian and Brandi get back from their honeymoon that can be something we do right away. It's gonna be weird, my buddy is gonna be married in less than 3 weeks. I don't expect to see him much the 1st couple of weeks, until he starts chaffing and needs a break.
