Finally Some Good News
My dad saw the oncologist today and guess what? He's done w/ treatments for now. He gets to go back in 1 month to do some tests to make sure the cancer is gone, but no more chemo for now. Thank goodness too. Dad had booked that vacation for July and I was waiting for them to be like, "uh now sir, you have to have chemo that week." So all's

Everyone is getting pneumonia and dehydrated. We've had no less than 20 draws on the floor every morning this weekend. TWENTY. Seriously. That's a hell of a lot. I'm with you on the economy front though. I think that's a big part of it, but it's also the fact that no one will actually go to the doctor when they are sick to begin with. A lot of people wait, thinking that they're gonna be fine and get better, and then head to the ER when they're about half-dead. And the chest pains!! OMG, don't get me started on the amount of people who come through saying they have chest pain, but really don't. I can tell you don't, damn it, because your cardiac enzymes are freakin' normal!! Bastards.
I got your txt, btw. I happened to have left my phone in the purse so you got a reply at three-thirty in the morning. Figured you'd still be up considering...
Anyway, I'm extremely happy to hear about you daddy! I've been sending lots of positive thoughts and energy ya'lls way simply because I love your family so much. :) They're too awesome to have such bad things happen to them. Must be why it does. You are all so full of awesome that it has to balance out somehow and it ends up being some really bad shit. I suppose that means I'm only kinda awesome because my balances are like... losing my glasses for twenty minutes.
YAY for Casey, btw. I'm glad to see that someone wants to teach. Teachers are getting harder and harder to come by now. :)
