CRX Progress October

Oct 08, 2007 00:12

It has taken almost a month of Sundays to get the CRX street legal. The license plate has been on so long that the license plate bolts were rusted in place. I had to cut the rear plates bolts off to remove the old plates. I drilled new holes front and back to mount the new plates.

With title, insurance and plates completed, Greg and I drove around two miles to get the CRX repair manual. All the time the engine ran rough and threaten to stall. The engine started to run better after awhile.

By the time we got home, the check engine light was on and the car engine was smoking lightly. It seems that some leaking fluid was smoldering on the hot engine block. The smoke was coming from someplace from the back of the engine to the fire wall. It does not seem to be a gasoline leak.

Finding out the check engine error code would be a first place to start the repair. Maybe I can barrow a reader.
