So, thanks to the ongoing mega-sale that is tanga.com, I picked up a no-name MP3 player (literally -- I couldn't find a name anywhere on the packaging or the device itself) for $30 including shipping, with the intent of getting into podcasts.

It's rare that I give up on a book in the middle. It's even more rare that I'm so annoyed with a book that I take the time to badmouth it on Amazon. -

Some day I will have real content here again, but right now you get to hear about movies I've watched recently.
I finished off the last part of several movie series. I watched Star Wars Episode III, Kill Bill: Volume 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End.

Yay For Target
So, this weekend, on Saturday I went to Target to pick up some household objects, and there, sitting next to the gum by the checkout counter, was twenty or so copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, a book that had gone on sale the day before and was undoubtedly sold out in most bookstores.

Threads of Damocles
I was at Threads this weekend. While there were some small logistical problems, overall I had a blast. A smattering of things I did or exprienced:
- got accosted by the brother of the bandit my character took his boots and gun from
- did cast for a scene set in a virtual reality

Intercon Gaslamp
So, this weekend I went to Intercon G.
It was an excellent con. Like I said for Intercon Mid-Atlantic, I can't really enjoy a con alone, without at least one familiar face who's willing to hang out and plan with me, and this con had several.
