[ CHAPTER 7 - Dreams ]
At the funeral, Akina got a call from Kei. He felt that Akina was crying so he asked her what happened. Akina told him that her bestfriend died from an accident. Kei asked her where the funeral is. After calling, Kei felt that he had to do something.
“Where is she?” Kei thought. He was trying to find Akina. A few attempts later, he finally found her.
“Akina-cha~n!! Akina-cha~n!!” Akina was looking around for that familiar voice. Suddenly, she saw a person’s hand waving at her.
“Inoo-san?!” Akina was shocked because Kei did come all the way to the funeral.
“Oi~ I told you~ Call me Kei~!” Kei said as he pouted and crossed his arms.
“Ah! Gomen! I forgot...hehe. Anyways, you came…?” Akina looked at him with a slightly confused face.
“Of course! You’re my friend! You know, you look kinda funny…” Kei looked at her, giggling a little.
“Eh?! Why? Is there any dirt in my face?!” Akina started to panic and took her handkerchief, wiping her face.
“Oi, oi! Stop wiping your face so hard! You’ll just hurt yourself!” After what Kei said, Akina asked him to check if there’s any dirt in her face.
“I said you look funny because your nose is reddish. Did you cry a lot?” Akina just nodded and told him that her bestfriend has been idolizing him even before he debuted as Hey!Say!JUMP. Kei sympathized with Akina which made her really happy.
Several days after Yui’s funeral, Akina dreamt of something. Yui appeared in Akina’s dream. Telling her not to get too much depressed over her death, live a new life without her, find friends that would always stay by her side even when the situation is really difficult, like how she stayed by her side at all times and finally, find her soulmate. The one that wouldn’t betray her and would be willing to marry her when the right time comes. Someone she can trust, someone that would never leave her, someone who would protect and defend her, someone that would accept her for who she is with all their heart and someone who she’s happy being with.
After that dream, Akina woke up and started crying. She looked at her watch and it was already 1:34AM, the time Yui died. She thought that Yui purposely did that.
“Keep yourself together, Mizukawa Akina! Remember what Yui said!” Akina said and tried to go back to sleep but she couldn’t. So, she called Kei. Kei was already sleeping at that time. He decided not to answer his call since he was thinking that Yabu was calling him. When he checked his phone, it was Akina! Kei answered the call and heard Akina sobbing.
“Akina-chan…what’s the matter?” Kei asked as he yawned.
“Ah, did I wake you up?”
“N-no, no! I was just about to sleep.” Kei lied since he was thinking that if he told her the truth, she would just
tell him to go back to sleep and hung up.
“Okay…I thought you were already sleeping…” Akina and Kei were both laying on their bed while talking. Akina told him that Yui appeared in her dreams. But she didn’t tell him about the soulmate thingy. She wanted to let her tears flow, but she doesn’t want to. She was thinking that if Kei would know, or feel, that she’s crying, she would just worry him. To cheer her up, Kei thought of something.
“Ne, Akina-chan, why don’t we spend the time talking?” Akina thought that he was being sarcastic so she told him that he should sleep instead.
“No, seriously! Akina-chan, talk to me, okay?” Kei said with a mellow voice that made Akina slightly happy. They talked continuously, even when taking a bath and eating their Asagohan [Breakfast]. But when they were about to go to school, they finally hung up. That was because when you’re answering a call in a public place in Japan, it’s a little disrespectful. So what they did, they just sent mails to each other. When Akina arrived, there were people who greeted her ‘Ohayou, Akina-chan!’, just like before. But it was different now since Yui wasn’t there to greet her or for her to greet. Same as always, Akina received confession letters.
Akina just took a seat and continued mailing Kei.

*if you wonder how Akina and Kei talked to each other on their cellphone when taking a bath and eating, here’s the answer: When they were taking a bath, since both use bath tubs, they just place their phones on their bathroom’s lavatory [Akina is using a slide phone while Kei uses a clam shell type]
*when they ate, they ate at their rooms. Kei brought his food to his room while one of Akina’s maid took her food in her room. [the 2 did go to such heights of difficulty just to talk to each other,ne?]*
