durian desserts

shall do a short comparison of the various durian desserts i like, including the real durian, straight from the shell.

1. Four Seasons Durian Mooncake- the second best durian mooncake i ever eaten, and will always eat during MAF. best served slightly thawed. just slightly! if not, it becomes slimey.

2. Goodwood Park Durian Mooncake- was better in the past. can skip for now.

3. JooChiat Home's Favourite Durian Mooncake (with charcoal skin)- yum yum, with a distinctly flavoured snow skin. much love. the best. like four season's, can truly bite on fibres from the durian flesh.

4. Goodwood Park Durian Pastries- oreo durian cake, durian puff, durian crepe, etc- great for durian cravings year-round. love the puff when it is very cold, and the oreo durian cake for the lovely crunch.

5. JooChiat Home's Favourite Durian cake- yum, and one of the better quality durian cakes around. can see real pieces of durian. cake is nice and light too.

6. Durian Potong ice cream- a great snack for those poor days. i like the one i ate from aljunied. it's homemade.

7. Udder's Mao Shan Wang durian ice cream- ty says it is like eating "frozen durian". i think it definitely beats the d24 version, but maybe not as pungent as how a real seed of mao shan wang would be. but for an ice cream monster like me, it's yum! (but really, i m a traditional flavour ice cream girl)

8. Real durian- that's if you dont like your durian cold. personally, i only like real durian outta the shell if it is slightly warm. u know, like when u remove it from the boot. lols. it makes the durian creamier. otherwise, i will surely go for the cold durian desserts. much more fuss free. (though i love drinking salt water from the durian shell!)
