Characters: Prince, Hajime, and others
Location: all around the school
Time: afternoon
Content: Prince wants to make the Children's Science Channel, so he enlists some help from Hajime!
Format: action's probably easiest for Katamari things
Warnings: None. For once, Prince isn't trying to roll up people
(
Why do we need cornstarch and water? )
[Hajime stares at Prince for a moment, before looking down at the list. It doesn't look all that complex.]
Well. I'm not sure about the logic of that conclusion, but.
[Here we go, OSU mode!] If you're asking for help, it's my pleasure and duty to assist you! We'll take care of this in no time!

I'm going to get the Katamari! Please wait right here.
[He wonders how big it's going to be.]
Reply
[This should be an easy mission. How weird can collecting a bunch of random items get?]
Reply
Um! I don't think I'll be rolling like normal. Papa wants me to stay this size. He says it's to help get a different perspective!
[Though Prince doesn't know what exactly that means.]
What's first on the list?
Reply
That's fine! Different ways of doing things allows for great new views! Let's see... [consults list]
Baking soda and vinegar! Classic.
Reply
[Prince is confused by their inclusion. Aren't those part of food?]
Do humans cook with cola or lemon-lime soda? Or maybe orange?
Reply
See, baking soda and vinegar contain sodium bicarbonate and acetic acid, which react together to make carbonic acid, which then separates into water and carbon dioxide. It's a very simple experiment, and interesting for budding scientists to perform and watch. [Wait he needs to get back in OSU mode, hold on this is confusing]
It often is performed to resemble a volcano erupting into a lava flow! [YEAH!]
There are a great many scientific experiments for children that can be performed using food ingredients, since they're safe and easy to access! It looks like a number of them are listed here.

[He starts pushing the bumpy ball toward the kitchen, but the door inside prevents alien and ball from entering, sending them bouncing backward.]
Reply
[Gotta open the door first, Prince. Haji goes to open the door, before an idea occurs]
And if it's science meant to entertain the young, it must be grand--shown to be exciting! Your entrance must be one with passion, to imbue the energy into the very being of the satellite! Come on!
[Throws open the door and throws his arms up to strike an 'imposing' figure] OSU!!! [If anyone's in the kitchen, they're likely very confused right now]
Reply
OSU!!! [Prince shouts as loud as he can, though he can't be as loud as the Ouendan.] For science!!
[Because "OSU!!!" has something to do with science, obviously.]
We are looking for lava!

[Consults the list again] There are a great many foods that can be used here! We need potatoes! And cornstarch, and--hmm. I doubt Sanji keeps any moldy cheese in here. But there's much to learn in your own kitchen!
Reply
[Prince goes to the cupboards to gather the supplies Hajime read off and quickly finds that he's too short to even see the top of the counter while hopping. He tries to climb his Katamari only to fall back to the ground.]
[A thought dawns on him as he pushes himself back up]
Are we making potatoes au gratin? [How is that science?]
Reply
No! Potatoes are nature's natural battery, with chemical energy that can be converted to electrical energy! Potatoes can be used to make basic inventions, like a clock!
Reply
[He wanders to Hajime's side and peers into the refrigerator as best he can with a head of his size.]
Reply
[He pulls out the fluids he's looking for, shaking his head.] There are more requirements to the complexities of potatoes than can be found here. We'll need to visit the garage or metalshop room to find what else we need!
Reply
[starts to push his Katamari out of the kitchen and then to a random direction... Prince has no idea where he's going]
