She made her way to the kitchen, once she got to the door she felt the urge to yawn. She had gotten a little over 2 hours of sleep so she shouldn't be tired. And investigating early morning noise (and as she got closer, smell) was hardly dull. Also nobody else had yawned. So this was a bit of a mystery.
"Matt?" Well, that explained her urge to yawn, which was followed now by her giving in and yawning, "What on Earth are you doing?"

"Cooking."
His stock explanation and not very helpful, he knew, but he was growing slightly tired of explaining. Who knew so many people were up this early?

Holly J's stomach growled, loudly. It was a sad byproduct of being near Matt. However if she were to eat her full right now, she'll feel stuffed for the entire day. She yawned as she headed over to the fridge to grab a soda, to at least keep her mind off eating too much, "And isn't it early to be up?" She yawned again, her powers off being a challenge to staying awake on what is now only one quarter the usual amount of needed sleep, "Unless you planned to eat all this stuff yourself."
She did eye some pancakes as she spoke, but she really shouldn't.

"I wanted to cook. So I did. I didn't really think about it."

While she decided Matt's cooking was... odd, he did know what he was doing. So if he wanted to replace the main cooking staff, fine by her. So she let the weirdness of his timing slide. "So you just wanted to cook, for no reason, enough food to feed an army. Good thing there are like a billion people here..."

"Yes. When I did it at home, Papa and Uncle just got mad at me." He started making more waffle batter. They could never have too many waffles, right? The other stack notwithstanding.

She was very... refined, when it came to her pancakes. Delicately cutting them into bites, she was careful. She knew in her mind that she didn't have to worry too much about cutting the plate in half or something with the dull eating utensils at hand. However she had plenty of nightmares where she would do similar to trust her control perfectly. So she tried to make her slow movements look intentional. 'Like a delicate flower' and other cliches about beautiful refined women.
Even if her words were hardly so refined.

"Yeah it is. Do you want anything else?"

Matthew blinked at her. Had she offered to talk to him about it? Or was it a general 'you should talk about it' sort of thing. He erred on the side of caution. He liked her well enough but he wasn't sure about her. She was so hard to read. He wasn't sure how to take anything she said.
"I might at some point. Perhaps."

"It's easier." He said automatically, without putting much thought into the reply. Just raw honesty, "Than dealing it. It stops the stress for a while and I'm usually much better afterward." He offered, half a reassurance to her and half to himself.
"Thank you for the offer." He spoke softly, conscious of not wanting to hurt her feelings. "I just...don't feel like talking about it to anyone. Even if Al will make me."

"There's only so long you can hide from your issues in here. Curfew is eleven," The fact that she regularly ignored her curfew didn't seem to apply right now. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and tried to be a little less judgmental for a moment, "I mean if it helps, keep doing it. But if there's more to help, do that too."
She smiled and headed off to finish her morning. Let him get back to his cooking. Although she hoped he found someone to confide in.
