Holly J yawned again, "I'm fine, if I eat much more than this I won't be eating all day. Unless I spend it with you." He seemed like a nice guy, but he messed with her too much. It was very problematic. Especially when right now she was so tired.

Her stomach growled again as she worked on finishing her plate. They were good, but she hated eating all she needed at the start of the day. While she wasn't hungry food did taste good, and it was nice to spread that detail across the day even a little. "I mean, if you feel you need to talk to someone about whatever's bothering you. Go for it," Matt was a nice guy, little odd, but he wasn't a bad guy. So she was a little interested in why he was worried into a cooking frenzy.

However she couldn't look like she cared too much, even if she was friends with his brother and worked with him on some things. Means that not only would she need to worry about her own social status but if he does something and she's connected to him it would become her problem too. She couldn't have that, she had enough to worry about.

"Well it's up to you. I'm not going to force you to eat." Matt ignored the fact that he had pressed the food upon her almost immediately.

Matthew blinked at her. Had she offered to talk to him about it? Or was it a general 'you should talk about it' sort of thing. He erred on the side of caution. He liked her well enough but he wasn't sure about her. She was so hard to read. He wasn't sure how to take anything she said.

"I might at some point. Perhaps."

"Hello, you nullify my powers," Holly J responded, taking another bite of pancakes, rolling her eyes at how he forgot his powers mess with her powers, "I only need to eat so much when I'm around you. Moment I'm away from you I'll feel like an overstuffed teddy bear."

"While I'm sure a lot of the hungrier students will love your meals more than the dull things we normally get for breakfast," Holly J finished the food she had, and her tea. She stopped to grab her soda and head for the door. She smiled at him, "It'll be better for you to work out your issues and not just avoid them with baking." The shift in her tone was almost like she was two people, the snap initial reaction compared to the much kinder words as she started to leave.

"Even if this isn't something you can talk to your brother about, there are others you can talk to, right?" She lingered at the door a moment in case he did want to take her rather passive offer of talking up. However she knew she was not seen as nice, nor did she want to be seen as nice. He probably had other options for people to go to, far better at helping than she was.

Matthew sighed. He had forgot. How could he forget? He winced and murmured, "Sorry, It slips with my mind when someone's powers aren't obvious." He was generally better about it, but other things had his mind racing.

"It's easier." He said automatically, without putting much thought into the reply. Just raw honesty, "Than dealing it. It stops the stress for a while and I'm usually much better afterward." He offered, half a reassurance to her and half to himself.

"Thank you for the offer." He spoke softly, conscious of not wanting to hurt her feelings. "I just...don't feel like talking about it to anyone. Even if Al will make me."

She didn't figure anything she could say about his forgetting her powers would help. So she let it go. She wasn't going to tell him its alright to just forget how your powers screw with people, but she wasn't going to just rub his nose in it.

"There's only so long you can hide from your issues in here. Curfew is eleven," The fact that she regularly ignored her curfew didn't seem to apply right now. She sighed, rolled her eyes, and tried to be a little less judgmental for a moment, "I mean if it helps, keep doing it. But if there's more to help, do that too."

She smiled and headed off to finish her morning. Let him get back to his cooking. Although she hoped he found someone to confide in.
