Content: Emma takes a look at Cass' brain.

She kept her face calm, unreadable as she passed through the corridors. A whole slew of new students had arrived over the past week and she had become less careful about remembering all their faces; there were just too many. They talked a lot, and their body language was clumsy and excited and new. She kept to herself and concentrated on learning what the teachers had to offer.
She couldn't really speak yet. That had not been a problem at first, but she had started to realise that it might be important, here in the school and in the rest of the world out there. It was...a useful skill. So she applied herself in ESL, trying to drill the words into her mind with single-minded intensity.
It wasn't working. She tried to learn, but it just didn't fit In her brain. Like a puzzle piece that did not match up with the rest.
Ms Frost had wanted to see her. She understood, vaguely, that Ms Frost could do things. With her mind. If she could help, Cass would let her in.
She stopped outside her teacher's office and knocked on the door, twice.
