More than just a green thumb

Content: Pamela's been using her powers a lot and hasn't realized that her skin's taken on a greenish hue

Warnings: Minor swearing whenever someone points out to Pamela that hey, she's randomly green
Pamela had been practicing using her powers outside. She was careful not to disrupt the hedge maze itself, but being outdoors near the greenery was comforting to her. Even if she was still having some difficulty adjusting to the idea that she was a mutant, she was becoming quite comfortable with her powers themselves. She'd gotten down the basics of controlling her powers very quickly. Right now, the bigger adjustment was being in a boarding school environment. Pamela was used to the adults in her life being absent most of the time and being able to get away with quite a lot as a result.
Now...not only was she at a boarding school, she was at a boarding school where all of the teaching staff were mutants. Still, it seemed like it wouldn't be all bad. There were a few people with similar interests so far. There was also the 'familial surprise' she'd gotten, even if said surprise wasn't admitting to anything.
Presently, she'd been practicing with her powers for the past two hours, simply growing plants and then working on her control with them out in the wooded area. Pamela was so focused on what she was doing that she hadn't noticed the greenish hue her skin had taken on in the last half hour.
