[Tina can't resist pointing out that although there isn't an 'I' in team there most definitely is a 'me'.]

[With that little pearl of wisdom she takes off and hovers in the air a little way from the main bulk of the group.]

Okay, so who wants to come with me and win this thing?

I have no cool name ideas!!!

[Paige is trying to perfect her wings. So she's leaving a mess of skin on the ground as she rips it away from her back. It's...kinda disgusting but she will never admit that.

The first set she creates she decides are too small. The second not strong enough. The third are long feathery wings like she's seen in various paintings of angels. She figures these should work for now. Though how long they'll actually last is a whole other question.

Oh and...]

How exactly does one work these things?

[Maybe she should have studied bird anatomy a little better...but she's at least off the ground now!]

TEAM TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL

[OH MAN A RACE! Gar was rather disappointed that he'd missed the flag race before, so he's going to be so up for this. He moves away from the main group and stands over where Tina is hovering, and shifts quickly into a Swift, and then flies up and sits on Tina's head and chirps which is Gar for We're totally gonna wipe the floor with the rest of these guys.]

TEAM WE WILL KICK YOUR ASS

[ she hovers closer to the other three on her awesome little rock platform, frowning a little. ]

We've just got to get back to the school from here, right? [ that shouldn't be too hard. right. maybe. ]

Doesn't that hurt? Ripping your skin off and all.

[Paige you just made her day. Really just made her day, which is why she's spent the last while watching her with a rather fascinated look on her face]

It's kind of complicated. I bet it's much easier to fly like most of the others.

Oh right..[She smiles, waving slightly at the new girl since she'd forgotten to earlier.] My name's Rinoa, nice to meet you.

[She pauses, frowning slightly with concentration for a moment before her wings decided to cooperate and come out of where it is they hide half the time. There's no ripped skin involved but instead a telltale pile of feathers that are now rather happily blowing about everywhere.]

Sometimes you just have to concentrate on your wings, feel how they connect to you and focus on making them move. They're really not too much different from arms or legs when it comes to that.

I think she said we all have to get back to the school as a team?

[She waves to Rinoa and smiles] Nice to meet you, Rinoa. I'm Paige an' no it doesn't hurt. Ain't sure why but I'm glad cause it'd suck if'n it did.

[She's equally fascinated by the way the other girl's wings came out.]

[Tina gives Paige a rather dubious look.]

I dunno, I don't have wings. Just flap 'em a bit? Rinoa, you can give Paige tips. We need to fly really really fast, yeah?

[Rock platform! That's weird, but it's okay, Tina can work with weird.]

Yeah, back to the school. Gar, can you be, like, a bird with really good eyes or something? [pause. Tina grins as she realises she sounds really leader-y and stuff. Yeah. Go Tina.]

[he chirps again, and bounces off of Tina's head to shift midair into a peregrine falcon, and then flaps over to Atlee's rock platform to perch on it, since he's now got TALONS and doesn't want to cut up Tina's face 8|a And he's just realized he's the only boy on a team full of girls. Goddamnit.]

[Yeah BB, Could have been a girl's team if it weren't for you. You totally messed that up. Shame.]

I'll try anywAY. [She's not too sure how helpful she's going to be since she's still awkward on her wings but will give it her best shot. Also, expect her to end up wingless at sometime on this flight back too. It's bound to happen.]

I guess so. I've always thought it was kind of weird. [She picks up a feather, still kind of amazed at the fact that she apparently makes that sort of thing somehow.]

So for now, it's kind of like Tina says just focus on trying to flap them for a bit.

I'm still in the air so I'm considerin' that a plus.

[She really hopes her transformation doesn't wear off before they get to school...she's almost certain she can shred more skin and make new wings. Learning experience!]

Can ya carry us all ta the school with ya? Cause otherwise it ain't gonna matter that ya can almost break the sound barrier. We gotta get there as a team an' that means we gotta make sure that even the slowest of us get there.

Yay, Gar! Can you get up real high or something and like... have a look around? We gotta figure out where we are and where the school is!

[She's eyeing the other team warily. Aaaah we need to get moving guys.]
