Mmmm, well, would it just be consisting of teachers or staff as well? Because I'd love for Gumi to keep being a mentor, but she's not a teacher, she's just maintenance staff ( ... )

The homeroom staff would be adults who would be trustworthy and responsible to a certain degree, and player activity would play a part in whether their staff members would be specifically assigned to a group. If they aren't assigned, they can still organise to sub whenever the official staff member is unavailable, or attach themselves to a specific homeroom group informally.

The kids can still go to any of their homeroom teachers for individual attention or help, and since they're meeting at least once a day there's more time and attention to go around. If we merge mentor groups as one, kids will still be assigned to the staff member they're used to. As the post says, the mentor system is essentially still in place.
