Yesterday I spent the day with
erl_queen and
sannion. We were celebrating
Alice Days, the highlight of the day being our trip up to SoLame to visit the
Enchanted Forest, which I've not been to in over 2 decades. It was really awesome for a number of reasons, and was a perfect "day away from worries" that I needed, even though I didn't really get the whole day to do so. Shortly after having lunch at the last
Burgerville before Eugene (in Albany, of all places*), I saw a cop approach me from behind. I pulled over to let him by, and as he drove on, I pointed out that he had
UFO RESPONSE TEAM plastered on the back of the car. We all laughed and thought this was indeed odd, but figured it fit in quite well with a day celebrating that infamous "tumble down the rabbit hole."
* Why on earth does Eugene not have a Burgerville? The company and its philosophy are quintessentially Eugene, yet the furthest South they go is Albany. This has both baffled and frustrated me to no end. If any place in the PNW should have a Burgerville, it is Eugene.
