After visiting
teriel &
lupabitch last month, I really wanted to play more of the new Star Wars game, "The Force Unleashed." I went to buy it, but it was $35--way too much money for me. I was told by the salesman that I should just rent it--he beat it in 6 hrs (which meant I could beat it in at least 12). I rented it--and beat it (in just under 12hrs, thankyouverymuch). Although it was slightly different from the PS3 version I played w/ Taylor, it was still one of the single most fun games I've ever played. The ONLY downside was the recycling of maps and the shortness of the game. I plan on buying it when it's down to $5-10 in the next year or so. I cannot overstate the amount of fun I had playing this game on my PS2.
Although it's taken me a while to get used to the visual aesthetic of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" series, my inner Star Wars geek has outweighed my inner snob. I am in the process of watching the movie that is being released on DVD this Tuesday (I missed it in the Theaters, dammit), and I've caught all of the Cartoon Network episodes thus far. The best link I've yet found yet for the movie (and this was after waaay too much time seeking) is
here.
While I'm on it, I've come across some interesting media links in my few years of having a Kick-Ass Computer with fast internet.
OV Guide is the best site I've yet found, and is a sort of "meta" video search site. It takes a bit of practice figuring out which sites are best for your own preferences and whatnot, but OV Guide seems to be one of the best I've found thus far. Don't bother using their "search" feature, though, it completely sucks ass. There are a few sites that are worth their weight in gold, IMHO, my favorite being, of course,
South Park Studios, home of one of the few redeeming shows on TellaVision. I've been meaning to watch
Heroes, and that looks like a very promising site that I will revisit and hopefully catch up over the next few weeks. And whilst I'm on the topic, I should mention a couple other sites that my roommate at the very least will appreciate,
House, and
Dexter.
XNXX is the bestest pr0n site I've yet found, but was strangely missing from OV Guide, so it warranted separate mention.
Unfortunately, I'm still frustrated by today's search for Bill Maher's movie
Religulous. Any links to a full movie stream of this would be greatly appreciated. And frankly, I'm just guessing (not having seen the movie) that it should be mandatory viewing in classrooms across the US, but that may just be me.
