Guess what I did this weekend! I went to Nashville!

This past weekend was parents weekend at Belmont, so I tagged along with the Dillinghams to Nashville. They came to pick me up on Friday at about 10:30. The 7 hours there was rather uneventful. I read, tried to sleep (didn't work out too well), and listened to alot of music. I'm a patient person so it wasn't too bad of a trip. Note: my right hand is freezing and my left hand is hot...what the heck is that all about? We arrived and the Dillinghams checked into their hotel and we headed to the Mellow Mushroom to meet Bethany. Parking in downtown Nashville sucks a big one. The pizza at that place is the man, but its about the greasiest stuff ever. Yay for my fast metabolism! Left there and went to Belmont where I finally got to see the campus and all. Twas nice...so small compared to Charlotte. Charlotte is small compared to schools with about the same amount of students. I got to meet alot of Bethany's friends, which was awesome. I'm not gonna even try to name everyone I met last weekend.

Bethany and I watched The Royal Tenenbaums and walked around Centennial Park for a while. Hammocks are awesome, but Bethany is afraid of heights. Went to Cafe Coco, a chill 24 hour coffee shop. Prolly did some other stuff, but I don't remember. I stayed in John's room that night cause Belmont is (unfortunately) a Baptist college and guys have to be out of the girls' rooms by 1:00 on the weekends. Hell, I even haveta give up my ID to go up to her room. I guess its not that bad, I'm just used to being here when I can have whoever I want in my room whenever I want. Lol...here they even pass out condoms for free.

The next morning Bethany and I met her parents and brother at the gift shop/bookstore and looked around. They were nice enough to buy me a shirt, and I gracias them for it. Went to an outdoor BBQ thingy at 12 something and that was quite the man.  We toured a really old and kick nuts mansion that is a part of the campus.  There's some crazy history behind it, but whatever.  Took a tour of RCA studio B where lots of famous people have recorded music (not-so-known people like Elvis).  Went to a cool record store and Bethany's parents bought me the new The Killers cd, which I have throughly enjoyed.  Got some lunch at The Curb on campus...twas scrumptious.  At 7 Belmont's Best of the Best Showcase started.  I must say, there is some kinda crazy musical talent on that campus.  The showcase was awesome.  All student done and it was crazy good quality.  We sat in the second row and it was taped (to be televised later) so I'll prolly be on television...coolness.  Mrs. Dillingham signed up for the DVD, so hopefully I'll get to see that and maybe even copy it (yes I'm a stealer).  They gave away an iPod and I didn't win it...

Norma Jean is freaking amazing.

After the showcase I tagged along with everyone to the infamous Deck.  Got to meet more people there and hang out.  Very chill.  Very cool.  Bethany and I went to White Castle!  Wow...that place is so good!  I want one in Charlotte!  Now!  We took our food to a hill thing that overlooks the city.  Gorgeous.  Enjoyed that, apparently that's where everyone goes to make out or something.  There were like 6 couples there doing their thing.  So we ate and talked of high school, friends, and whatever else came up.  Definitely a highlight of my week.  Bethany and I stayed at the hotel with her parents that night.

Sunday morning was an early one.  Woke up at 7:45 and got a shower...the first since Friday morning.  I was feeling really gross.  Ate at a place downtown called the Pancake Pantry.  The line was out the door and around the corner of the building, but oh boy was it worth it.  Best pancakes I've ever had.  Afterward, we got on the road.  Bethany had been driving the PT Cruiser while at school.  The rents had the Jeep and sold it actually (what a surprise!).  So Mrs. D and I drove the Cruiser back and Caleb and Mr. D. went in the truck.  The ride back was nice.  I burned some stuff to listen to on the trip...awesome.  Muse is kickass.

Speaking of Muse.  They're coming to UNCC tomorrow.  7:00 at Halton Arena.  I am quite excited.  Thank you, Bethany.

So, overall, my trip was awesome.  I ddin't wanna leave.  I wish I had a car so I could go visit more often.  I already miss you.

I'm out, you guys.  Its bed time.  I have class in 6 hours.
