So tonight I was looking at knives on the internet, because I have a large obsession with weapons (guns, knives, hand grenades etc.) I am also shopping for a new knife at the moment because I think I lost my Smith and Wesson. I may have lost it in the couch at the mansion, so I might have it back soon. But I will still buy a new one because that one is getting old and I want a change (you can never have too many knives). So while I was browsing the different knife websites I got to pondering. Giving someone a weapon as a gift has got to be the most meaningful gesture of all. It shows that you trust that person so much that you are comfortable with them having a tool that can kill you. I consider the knife to be a more meaningful gift than a gun. I say this because to kill someone with a knife takes a lot more than it does to shoot someone. It only takes a twitch of a finger to fire a gun, but to stab/cut someone to death takes actual physical contact with the victim. You have to see, feel, smell, hear, and possibly taste the blood up close and personal. A gun provides one with the luxury of distance. If I had to die by a weapon I had given to someone as a gift I would definitely choose the knife over the firearm because that weapon would let me know that my murderer loved me enough to go through the trouble of a blade killing.
So if I ever give you a knife as a gift do not feel weird, take it as the highest compliment I can give you.
