The mural crisis from yesterday has been averted. Using nail polish remover, I was able to strip away yesterday's labor in vain. For you see, Createx translucent paint is thinned down, and contains very little pigmentation. When I mixed the purple, it went to mud. The bottom part became too dark with too many layers. I think I've learned that if you want a particular color, in airbrushing, you must buy the color premixed. The nail polish remover luckily removed just the acrylic and not the oil-based outline. I used q-tips to rub the old paint off, and touched up the outline a little. I guess I have to stop at Hobby Lobby on my way home to pick up sky blue and some type of lavender color. I will keep everyone updated on every single monotonous step of this amateurial endeavor. If you like what you see, be sure to comment below and give me some positive feedback. Thanks for watching.
Back to the drawing board. The old paint left these areas dingy, but I am hopeful that it will add a textured patina that will come across as intended. The prospect of having to retape these fine details over again is saddening. I should work harder and smarter versus this dumb bummer.
