When does one actually know, that you've found "the one"?
I suppose you'll know when you actually stop asking yourself this question. When you no longer have doubts whatsoever. When you look at this person by your side and you feel that there could be nothing more you could ask for. When other areas of your life can be totally shit and you're still happy.
As a person age, I guess it's easy to get jaded, it's easy to be totally tired and settle for less. Then again in life, it's so darn easy to get misled. There's this song by Leslie Cheung whereby there's this part where he sings, "How I wish I don't grow up, then I could perhaps love by instinct"....I cannot help but sigh when I listen to this song, because the older I grow, the more truth it seems to hold.
When people grow, they get clouded by their fears, insecurities, reality, practicality, and the list goes on, so maybe when you meet "the one", you can no longer be sure. Then again, perhaps "the one" will allow you to forego your inner fears...
