huckleberries are in season, yay pie!
It took me forever just to pick these huckleberries. We have a bush out back and I still need to pick a few more so I can make a pie. Cleaning them from the leaves that ended up in with them took almost as long as picking them. I have inserted in the lower right corner a penny with a huckleberry for reference so you can see how tiny they are. Worse yet, they do not grow dense on the bush. It takes freaking forever to pick them but the pie will be heaven that I plan on baking tomorrow. I picked just 4 cups of them.
