Well my show ended on sunday :( Been in a depressed slump since then, best show ever. Hopefully soon i'll feel up to uploading photos and post a video of the cast flash-mobbing our director haha.. until then i'm watching Drag Race Untucked, catching up on Vampire Diaries and just.. not doing a whole hell of a lot.. besides teaching still.
got an email from my director giving me advice, and i'm looking forward to following it.
Sarah--
I am so glad that this experience has been one of inspiration. I hope it has helped you to prioritize and will motivate you to push yourself to the level you need to be to get out there. Though going away to school might not be an option you do need to utilize the resources around you. You should be in one or two dance classes every day at UNR for at least a year. You should seek out the classes in town that are professionals only. No more dancing with children in studios. Training should be your number one priority regardless of whether or not you walk away with a degree. UNR dance is the highest level of dance training available in town so be there. No excuses. Dont wait around for your life to begin bc it will pass you by.
Though I am not in a position to offer an apprenticeship you can always email me with industry questions. But my advice to you before anything else is to train, train, train as intensely as available in ballet, jazz and tap for at least one calendar year five to six days a week. It is the only way to push yourself to the next tier. Find a way to make it happen.
Have a great show tonight.
Adam
