Ladonia sighs, looking up from his computer to blink incredulously at his… relative. He and Sealand aren’t friends, at least the last time Ladonia checked. Facebook can be slow sometimes. Even if they aren’t friends, they’re family in some warped sort of way and Ladonia figures he maybe should at least attempt to be nice. It’s the Holiday season and all that jazz.
“I want to be a nation!” Sealand chirps, breaking the silence.
Ladonia rolls his eyes. “Really.”
“Yeah, really!” Sealand grins deviously. “I’ve got a plan and everything.”
Ladonia raises a brow but doesn’t look away from his computer screen.
“I’m going to apply to the United Nations! And every organization I can find!”
Ladonia hums. “Every organization?”
“Yeah!” Sealand grins. “I figure they’ll give me an honorary membership to shut me up if I’m annoying enough.”
Ladonia tilts his head in acknowledgement. “That might work.”
“So?” Sealand continues, eagerly awaiting Ladonia’s reply with unusually high expectations for his snotty acquaintance. “What about you? Any resolutions?”
Ladonia sniffs arrogantly, refocusing his attention to his glowing Macbook screen.
“C’mon, Ladonia.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because.”
“Because why?”
“I just don’t want to.” Ladonia huffs in irritation.
“You can’t think of one thing?”
Ladonia pauses, fingers hovering over his keyboard. “Resolutions…”
Sealand leans forward, grinning in anticipation. “Yeah?”
“It might be nice to merge a TV with my laptop to upgrade to 1080p. If that’s not possible, a 2560x1440 27-inch LCD would be acceptable.”
“Um, what?”
