Thoughts. I don't think it is easy to help anyone unless you've helped yourself first. And I don't mean with inconsequential things like tv shows and clothes and makeup and big fluffy pillows. I mean you need to help yourself with ideas, knowledge, and understanding. Yes there is always something wrong with the world and yes we cant do anything about it right now. Basically you have to make your self stop wasting time on meaningless things and find the things that have meaning. You need to help spread this knowledge to other people and make them understand that something more needs to happen. If a person grows up, gets a successful job, has a nice family and enjoys life, thats great. But they didn't contribute anyhting to the whole of humanity. Every person should contribute atleast one idea in their lifetime that will further help the world. Without ideas we are all back to the stone age. This isn't to say that you can't appreciate entertainment. It would take quite the constitution to solely focus on helping humanity without going crazy. It's when you let it run your life that something is wrong. If you can't miss an episode of a tv show or if you throw a fit becasue your CD is sold out, then you probably need to work on your priorities and realize there is more to the world. So basically I think that there is too much suffering in this world and people create too much crap to counter that suffering. Once you realize that something needs to be done, then get rid of that crap in your life, and start trying to help. You wont beable to help right away becasue influence and power comes from experience and knowledge. You also won't beable to help right away, because unforunately, people have to work with the system they are born into to get anything accomplished. I cant just go over to Africa and start helping people becasue Id have to have money, so I would have to get a job, then I would have to get the proper forms to travel to another country, etc. But at least realizing the problem puts you on the right track. Note: When I say "you" Im referring to the generalized you of everyone.
