I went to work tonight for no reason. What a waste of $13 dollars in fuel. When I was coming up on the building I could see that the parking lot was pretty much empty, the hangar doors were closed and all the lights were off. I was like what the fuck? it's not a holiday! Did they really give everyone off because of the air show this weekend? It wouldn't of mattered, I still have to be there even though the rest of the place does not have to come in. You never know if someone is going to call to check in or out on leave!, check into the command, need the duty driver, receive a red cross message or have a stupid question. Two shifts have to be there on thursdays and sundays now. its so stupid. That kind of defeats the purpose of having SHIFTS. Its retarded but VFA106 is hell bent on everyone being there 40 hours. I decided fuck this. My shift was going to leave. We had to be there the last time everyone was off including the other shift... so its our turn. So we left. i'm senior to everyone else so I can make that call. I might get a phone call tomorrow but I reallllllly don't care.
I guess it doesn't really matter if I left or not..i'd be sitting there right now doing the exact same thing. i'm not really tired even though I barely slept 5 hours today.
I didn't get home until after 1... I was sooo exhausted but I still can't ever go to sleep right away. This morning I got relieved super early. I wish that would happen on days that I can just go home. I didn't know what to do with myself for 5 hours. I should of just gone home, but I probably wouldn't of come back.
I went to wal-mart. I killed 2 hours in there... just walking around and throwing crap I don't need into a cart. I went in for formula and diapers.. not that I really need those either...but it never hurts to have extra.
I spent 200$. i'm retarded.
I think i'm normal again, at least my dreams are.....sort of.
Yoday I dreamt I was at some kind of out door party, or festival and I was going down big slides while eating a candy apple. I don't think I have had a candy apple since I was 8. It was snowing fake snow and taylor swift was hanging out... like we weren't friends but I was friends with her friends. We went back to a hotel that was actually just a gigantic room with a bunch of weird shit in it. The floor doubled as a bed because when you lay down to sleep it wraps itself around you and snuggles you tightly. It wasn't gross and uncomfortable like you would think. It was luxurious and only people that were friends, or at least friends of friends of Taylor Swift could enjoy something like that. Taylor Swift pushed around a baby in an oddly shaped and old fashioned looking baby carriage and we all had to say goodbye now because I had to report to the USS Truman. We said our goodbyes and they took me to the airport. I had nothing to bring to the ship with me.. Just the clothes on my back. I got on an F- 18 Super Hornet ... but it wasn't a one seated plane like the super hornet is.. it was a passenger super hornet. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO FAST. and all of a sudden I could see the carrier below us. Everyone was so afraid but I was super excited because we were about to land on a carrier in a super hornet! we were extremely high up in the air when we went in for the landing. it was like a descending rollercoaster. Everyone told me I should be a pilot because I was visibly not afraid of this landing. We landed on the carrier and were quickly stopped and jolted back by the arresting gear . Once I got there I could see on everyones faces that this was a typical long drawn out deployment and everyone just wanted to go home. I felt like such an outsider and got lost... there was no one there to tell me what to do, or where to go.. I was wearing flip flops and shorts. I wandered around forever and it was such a dirty ship. I wanted to go back and hang out with taylor swifts friends again and live that life. I found a diesel engine generator and assumed that this was where I would be working. I sat in a chair and fell asleep.
