The bandit’s insides melted. Liquefied. Lilith could see it as it happened, as if it hadn’t taken only a few seconds. She could see it in her mind in slow motion. Swirls of red. Swirls of organs turned to slush. Then to liquid, blood red. Ready to soak into the snow of Frostbite Canyon; it soon did just that. She watched it change the snow from white to red.
Then she smiled. She felt giddy. Powerful.
Her smile faltered. Was she a bad person? She was, wasn’t she? Good people didn’t get off on murdering others. Good people didn’t enjoy watching people liquefy.
She was bad. She was the worst.
A rush of joy overcame her despite it all. She had liquefied a guy. And that, no matter how bad a person it made her, was awesome.
