It's our final day. Was it a fun change of pace or an unwelcome diversion?
This is another MOTW episode I enjoy more for the relationship bits than for the X-File. The scene where Scully sings "Joy to the World" to Mulder actually made me tear up, in part because she'll sing it again much later in the series in a much different context. Other

Egad. Day six already. True confession: I have watched "Small Potatoes" several times just for the scene in the X-Files office where David Duchovny is playing Eddie Van Blundht, the human shapeshifter. Eddie, who has locked up the real Fox Mulder in a janitorial closet in the basement of the local hospital, is now practicing his moves in

This episode appears on many best episode lists and is a favorite of fans and critics alike. Reportedly, when Gilligan turned in the script, he told Chris Carter that the episode was "the best work I'm ever gonna do for you." I think "Bad Blood" is much better, but that's just me.

From the same team that gave us "Ice," next up is "Little Green Men," another early season gem. Scully engineers a covert meeting with Mulder in a parking garage. We finally get our first glimpse of an extraterrestrial biological entity, and are introduced to Mulder's longtime ally in Congress, Senator Richard Matheson.
Our mini-rewatch begins! So, "Ice" has it all: sex, violence, black humor, bad science, plenty of opportunities for scenery chewing, and some of the tensest scenes between Mulder and Scully of the entire series

Why? Why not. Tomorrow's the official start of summer. The The X-Files LJ community hasn't had a mini-rewatch since the one we did in February at scully_fest. My other active comm is on hiatus until July. I have a new writing assignment so obviously the thing to do is put that off and watch some episodes
