Haven't been updating much cos I keep forgetting what I have to say.
But anyway, life has been the same. A few teachers left for home, and one was asked to resign cos of complaints from the students, but my job seems safe so far. In any case, I have a meeting with the supervisor today cos he wants to change the schedule in my contract. Basically, it looks like I'll be getting Thurs and Fridays off instead of the current Tues and Thurs, which is great, cos it means I get two consecutive days off, PLUS Fridays, which is potential date night. I really need to start meeting more people!
On my way to work yesterday, or was it the day before yesterday... i forget... But anyway, I saw this blind lady trying to get on the escalator in the train station, and she was sorta making a fuss while a frustrated angry looking guy tried to help her. I jumped to the wrong conclusion at first that he might be trying to take advantage of the poor lady but then she sorta calmed down and it turned out they knew each other. I felt bad for misjudging the guy. For all I know, he might have been taking care of the lady forever, and it sure ain't easy. So what if he loses his temper once in a while. I wouldn't even last a day.
then Yesterday, while spending some time at Uniqlo trying to stop myself from buying purple jeans, I saw another blind young girl, whose father (i think) was buying clothes for her. She just stood there silently (well what else can she do?) and gave one of the most serene smiles at her father while he lifted shirt after shirt looking to see if it would match her. She looked like an angel. It was pretty awesome.
And then there was this other middle aged lady on the train, with mismatched socks for her shoes. It was raining, and she was smiling to herself. Sure she seemed mentally not there, but she had a pretty serene smile too.
I'm beginning to think that all angels on earth are the "special" ones. I hardly ever see the people smile like that.
