summer!
As of 11:00 this morning, school is officially over, which is lovely. Even more lovely is the fact that my grades went up in all the classes that I wanted them to. And I got my highest grade on an English essay ever, making for an exciting morning. Now all I have to do is figure out when the hell I'm going to get the summer reading assignments done, though Mr. Berger-White said that I could have the extension if I needed it.
I leave in 18 days! It's ridiculously exciting, but I'm still a little upset about the fact that it means I'm not going to camp. I do plan on returning next year as a counselor, but I feel like if I could convince myself that I could do without camp this year, I might do the same thing again. Sad. I just don't know. BUT I'm hoping to have a fantastic time in Israel, and so far it seems like everyone who I've communicated with is really nice. My mother and I are meeting one of my fellow Chicagoans and her mother for lunch at some Thai place on Saturday.
So far summer has been basically dull and relaxing. Getting out would be good, though I'm afraid my parents might make me stay home tonight because there might be a thunderstorm...? Who knows. But I'm going to make a valiant effort to see everyone before we all begin our summer escapades.
