Mikaru's First Month at Home

Nov 10, 2006 13:45

I'm guessing you're all waiting for me to post an "interesting" blog-entry... sigh... well, the only thing in the world that makes people happy is kittens!! So here we go.

The little brat came home about a month ago. Ever since then, she's been a constant ball of energy. It's cute... until I get tired of playing and she's only just starting to break a sweat. Luckily I bought a laser pointer so I can be a lazy-ass and just sit on my couch/computer chair and point at random places in the room for her to chase. My dad got her some ping-pong balls to chase, so sometimes those keep her occupied... until they go under the couch.

She's a little attention-whore too. God forbid I try to watch anime or use my computer when Mika is awake, heehee... or let alone try to SLEEP!! When she's all riled up, I know I'm not going to be left alone. Sometimes she's sweet and cute and will cuddle with me, but more often than not, she wants to claw and bite anything that moves, including my nose.

I need to go to PetSmart soon! She needs her nails clipped and I have to buy catnip to lure her to the places I want her to stay and citrus spray to keep her away from places she shouldn't be... mainly behind the computer desk where she likes to tug on wires. She hasn't clawed the curtains yet, but the side of the couch and the doormats have become her choice scratching-posts, despite the fact that she has an actual factual scratching post.

Anyways, here's pics: http://pets.webshots.com/album/554274841dwrxLe

I think the great Nabeshin put it best: "Don't fall for [her] evil cuteness!"
